Highlights
Acend and Team Liquid will be facing off against each other after making it to the top four at Valorant Champions.
With two more European teams still in contention, fans might get to experience an all European semi-finals this weekend.
After last night, North America has no more representatives at at the inaugural Valorant world championships.

After the end of Day 8 of Valorant Champions, Acend and Team Liquid made it to the semi-finals. If Gambit Esports and Fnatic win tonight, we may have an all-European showdown at the semi-finals this weekend. After last night’s quarter-final matches, Team Secret and Cloud9 Blue have been eliminated from the competition. North America has no representatives left in the event and it is up to X10 CRIT to represent Southeast Asia and potentially make it to the top four.

Acend vs Team Secret (Acend won 2-0)

Acend had a smooth ride at Valorant Champions so far while Team Secret had a bumpy road on the way to yesterday’s matchup. Acend was unwavering even in the top eight and managed to beat Team Secret comfortably without dropping a map.

Acend was dominant during its defense rounds with Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt being at the top of his game. Team Secret did have its moments of glory with Kevin "Dispenser" Te taking out four Acend players on his own at one point but it was not enough to stop the European team from ending both maps in style.

Team Liquid vs Cloud9 Blue (Liquid won 2-0)

Cloud9 Blue headed into its matchup with Team Liquid as the final team from North America. Fans had high hopes for North America but with Sentinels and Team Envy being eliminated before the playoffs even started, it was disappointing, to say the least. Unlike Acend’s matchup against Team Secret, C9 vs Liquid was far more competitive and both maps could have gone either way.

Team Liquid will be going up against Acend at the semi-finals. If Gambit Esports and Fnatic win their respective matches tonight, Europe will be assured the world championships this season.
