Valorant Champions 2022 is the culmination of this year’s Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) tournaments and the top sixteen teams from around the world came together in Istanbul, Turkey to participate in the tournament to fight for the title of “Champions” and win the lion’s share of the prize pool. Valorant Champions 2022 kicked off on 2nd September and is scheduled to conclude on 18th September.

The tournament hosted teams from the regions of North America (NA), Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Korea (KR), Japan (JP), Brazil (BR), East Asia (EA), Asia Pacific (APAC), and Latin America (LATAM). The group stage of the tournament is all set to conclude on 8th September with eight teams advancing to the playoffs bracket.

A guide to Valorant Champions 2022 Playoffs

Valorant Champions is the final tournament of the competitive season and presents the globe with one winner. This offline LAN event will have a live audience present at the venue, starting on 9th September for the playoffs. Fans will have the opportunity to cheer on their favorite teams during the playoffs at the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul.

Format

  • A total of eight teams will participate.

  • Four teams will make it to the playoffs by winning the Winners’ matches, the other four will fight through the lower bracket decider matches.

  • Playoffs will also feature a double-elimination bracket

  • Teams will be seeded into the upper bracket (four quarter-finals) and the losers will eventually fall to the lower bracket as the tournament progresses

  • All matches are best-of-three (BO3)

  • The lower Bracket Final and Grand Final series are best-of-five (BO5)

The eight teams that are playing in the Valorant Champions 2022 Playoffs are:

  • OpTic Gaming (OPTC)

  • XSET

  • DRX

  • Leviatán (LEV)

  • Team Liquid (TL)

  • LOUD Esports

  • FunPlus Phoenix (FPX)

  • Fnatic (FNC)

OpTic, DRX, XSET, and DRX emerged as the number one seeds from their respective groups in the group stage of Valorant Champions 2022. Meanwhile, Team Liquid and LOUD won their respective group's decider matches.


Schedule

The times mentioned in the tables are all in CET and are subject to change. The schedule will be updated as and when the teams progress to the next stage in the upper bracket or when they falter and find their way to the lower bracket.
