Valorant is getting its next big update on 1st March with the release of Episode 4, Act II. This new episode is all set to bring a fresh Battlepass with new and exciting sprays, weapon skins, player cards, and gun buddies. This update is also adding Gaia’s Vengeance, a skin line that oozes mysticism and magic, for players to add to their cosmetic collection and show-off in the game. As usual, the Battlepass consists of some free to unlock rewards for all and premium rewards for those who purchase the Battlepass for 1,000 VP.
Home Again cards and other rewards
Players can get their hands on the new Striker skin line with new skins for the Classic, Operator, and a new melee weapon. New Lycan’s Bane skins will also be up for grabs for the Vandal, Stinger, Ghost, and Odin. The Judge also sports a fresh look from the new Divine Swine Judge skin.
Who does not like going back to their hometowns for a small break from work? Well, in essence of this, the upcoming Battlepass includes multiple “Home Again” cards showing agents having a good time back at home. The Battlepass has 15 new player cards in total.
Talking about the “Home Again” cards, Associate Producer Laura Baltzer said, “We wanted the items to feel as true to the regions that inspired them as possible. For the “Home Again” player card series we asked, “what would be the first thing this Agent would do when visiting home?” Again, we worked with our regional teams to come up with some ideas and had a ton of fun brainstorming and learning from them.”
She added that Riot wanted to resonate with the elation of returning home and develop the backstories of some of the agents in Valorant. She added, “For instance, those who love Chamber may be interested to see that in his “Home Again // Chamber” card he spends his free time in the French Riviera, or that Brimstone might enjoy a baseball game in his hometown as seen in the “Home Again // Brimstone” card.”
Riot has also featured the much-loved “WideJoy” meme in this Battlepass. Killjoy can be seen holding a tablet of sorts that reads “#SAVEWIDEJOY in a player card. Players can unlock free items like the Crying Mance Spray or the All-purpose Slipper Gun Buddy for free, but most items are only available in the premium pass.

Gaia’s Vengeance skin line for multiple weapons will soon be up in the store. According to Associate Art Director Sean Marino, the skins were initially supposed to be released without any special effects for reloading and finishers. However, the team saw potential and wanted to ship cool effects.
Senior Producer Preeti Khanolkar said, “We wanted Gaia’s Vengeance to feel magical and mystical. Something ancient and powerful that draws its power deep from an enchanted forest. We don’t have a lot of skins that are delicate and beautiful—the closest would probably be Sovereign.”
The team named the skin after completing work on it and felt that it had a balance of elegance and danger - a kind of “haunting beauty”, according to Khanolkar.
