Bandai Namco revealed that TEKKEN 8 will be playable at EVO 2023 and other gaming and esports events this year.
There is still no release date available for the upcoming title but fans expect it to release by the end of 2023.

TEKKEN 8 was first teased in August 2022 at Sony’s State of Play Event and while fans got a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming title, they are yet to get a true hands-on experience. Bandai Namco just revealed that the fighting game title will be available to play at select events worldwide starting with EVO 2023 on 4th August at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and the Michelon ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.

There is still no official release date for TEKKEN 8 yet

TEKKEN 8 will have a Closed Network Test starting 21st July where a limited group of players will be able to try out the game. Bandai Namco is also planning to showcase the game at various gaming and esports events this year and EVO 2023 is just the first of many events where you can try out the game in-person.

The Tekken series holds the record for having the longest-running story in a video game. Just as the ending dialogue of Tekken 7 mentioned, this new game will focus on the father-and-son showdown between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama.

The game will be arriving on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC and older consoles will be left out. With Street Fighter 6 already out, fans are speculating that Tekken 8 will release by the end of 2023 to take on the competition.

If you want to try out the game before its release, we recommend keeping an eye out on the official Tekken 8 website to see when the next beta test takes place. Dates for the next beta are likely to be announced shortly after the upcoming Closed Network Beta comes to an end. Fans of the franchise have waited eight years since the release of Tekken 7 and they are excited to see what Bandai Namco has to offer.
