T1 Valorant prays to Faker before facing Talon Esports

On 22nd April, T1 Valorant went up against Talon Esports and lost the series 2-0.

T1 Valorant, ahead of the series, was seen praying to League of Legends esports GOAT Faker.

The first regional circuit of the Valorant Champions Tour 2024 (VCT) has taken center stage around the world and partnered teams from the Pacific region are taking on each other in VCT 2024 Pacific Stage 1. This tournament kicked off on 6th April 2024, Saturday and is set to conclude on 12th May 2024, Sunday. It features all 11 partnered teams from Asia Pacific, fighting for three valuable slots in Valorant Masters Shanghai 2024 and for crucial Pacific Points.

On 22nd April, T1 Valorant went up against Talon Esports and lost the series 2-0. Following this, Talon Esports moved one step towards the playoffs. T1 Valorant, ahead of the series, was seen praying to League of Legends esports GOAT Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok.


T1 Valorant Players Pray To Faker

Fans were treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific as the broadcasters took a tour into the T1 players room ahead of their series against Talon Esports on 22nd April.

When the presenter walked into the green room, the players were all seen praying and bowing down to global superstar and T1 League of Legends star Faker, a four-time World champion. The room's door had a poster of Faker on it with "Shh! We're praying" written on it.

They could be heard saying, "I love Faker" among other praises for the League of Legends esports star.


Talon Esports is now 3-1 in its group

As of the time of writing this article, Talon Esports has only dropped a series to GEN.G on 9th April. It has won all other three series against Bleed Esports, Global Esports and T1.

However, it should be kept in mind that the series against T1 on 22nd April was a close one for Talon. The scores of the two maps it won are as follows:

  • Lotus: 13 - 11

  • Bind: 13 - 10

After the win, VCT tweeted, "Talon Esports has had enough of their experimental comps. They have found the true strength of #FLIGHTCLUB and with their newfound identity, they're ready to will their way to the playoffs!"

On both the maps, Talon Esports played Viper and Gekko commonly and switched around other duelists and smoker agents.


On the other hand, T1 is currently placed dead last in the Alpha Group with a 1-4 scoreline. The remainder of the series it has lined up will be crucial moving on for T1. Only the top three teams from each group will move on to the playoffs of VCT Pacific.
