In February this year Capcom announced the much awaited Street Fighter 6. The developer dropped a trailer for the next installment of the franchise showing off some of the old (Ryu) and some of the new (Luke). Fans have since been waiting for a release date for Street Fighter 6 and now we finally have one. During the Game Awards broadcast, Capcom dropped another trailer giving us the release date.
The trailer shows off some more new fighters including Marisa, Manon, JP and returning character Dee Jay’s new look.
Street Fighter 6 Official Release Date
Street FIghter 6 will release on 2nd June 2023. Pre-orders for the game are currently available. The game will be available on Steam, Playstation 4 and 5 as well as Xbox Series X|S. Fans who preorder will get a bonus which includes outfit variations for Chun-Li, Jamie, Manon, Dee Jay, Juri, and Ken.
Street Fighter 6’s second closed beta test starts soon
The game’s first beta test was conducted in October and Capcom is all set for Street Fighter 6’s second beta scheduled to happen between 16th and 19th December. Any gamers on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, and PC via Steam can sign up. Applications are open for the second beta test, click here to apply. You’ll need a Capcom ID to sign up and take part in the closed beta. Note that if you’ve already participated in the first closed beta test, you will be able to continue playing in the second closed beta test.
Capcom has made a number of changes since the game’s first beta test including bug fixes and balance changes to characters like Ryu, Guile and Chun-Li. As for the features available in the second beta, not much has changed in terms of playable characters, maps or features available.
