Sova Owl Drone Secret Valorant Trick to Gather More Information
Everything, everywhere, all at once.
Sova is a fantastic initiator that helps his team out by gathering information on enemy locations. One of his abilities that aids in clearing corners and tracking opponents is his Owl Drone (C) but it has a limited usage time, so players need to skilfully maneuver it and have a quick look around.
Well, a Valorant player who goes by the name of FishRaider on Reddit recently highlighted a secret drone feature that had been hiding in plain sight from the masses all this time.
Most players, even Sova mains, might not be aware of this feature that allows players to gather more intel and clear multiple angles during the same flight duration. All they are required to do is simply increase the DPI of their mouse.
Valorant players are not using this simple Sova Owl Drone trick to gather more information
There is a feature that Sova's drone has that no one has been using properly till now. An observant Valorant player recently found out that the Owl Drone used by the Russian archer has no sensitivity cap.
In simple terms what this means is that a player can rotate and twist the drone 360o to look everywhere possible with the slightest displacement of their mouse, provided that its DPI has been set high enough.
Yes, the movement of the drone will not be affected by this feature which will still remain relatively slow-paced and a bit clunky. However, its yaw will drastically change, allowing players to rotate and twist the drone quickly to scout the entire area in one rapid glance.
The community was clearly surprised to learn about this feature with the majority of them stating that they always thought the drone's sensitivity was capped. However, a thing to keep in mind is that this vertical movement is not determined by the in-game sensitivity and rather depends on the mouse DPI.
It has a strategic advantage in the sense that the Sova player will be able to take a quick glance of the complete area in one swift movement before the drone expires or gets shot down. This way more angles can be cleared and the information can be communicated back to the teammates.
On the other hand, the drone will be susceptible to being shot down and its dart ability would be hampered which means no enemy player would be tracked.
There is a clear give and take to the feature, depending on the situation a player can choose their approach. We might not see it being adopted in the competitive scene but players might utilize this during matchmaking.
