Sledgehammer Games is developing Call of Duty’s latest title which is set to release later this year, and just like last year, the newest title in the franchise will be revealed through Warzone. Call of Duty Games are typically revealed in June, but due to unknown reasons, the reveal for this year’s Call of Duty title was pushed to August. But the wait is over with Sledgehammer Games confirming that a reveal event will commence on 19th August within Warzone. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming event if you want to catch it live when it drops.
When is the Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal taking place?
The official Call of Duty Twitter account revealed that there will be an in-game event on 19th August which fans can catch live at 10.30 AM PT / 1.30 PM ET / 6.30 PM BST. This is not the first time that a Call of Duty game is being revealed through Warzone. The popular battle royale was the mode of announcement for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as well last year. While we know when the event is taking place, there is no official information on what the event will be like.
All we know so far about the new Call of Duty from recent leaks is that it will potentially be based on World War Two and feature cross-platform gameplay right at launch. The cover art of the upcoming game was also leaked, revealing that players who preorder the game will get early access to the open beta.
To be a part of the reveal event, it is recommended to hop into Warzone before the official announcement time as the servers can potentially get overloaded. If you cannot make it online, you can also watch streamers on YouTube, Twitch, or Facebook Gaming to see what’s in store for Call of Duty fans this year.
Last year, during the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal, fans were asked to do short missions which built up to the official trailer. It is possible that this year’s reveal will be similar. The “Battle for Verdansk” event is something you do not want to miss if you are looking forward to the new game.
