Sentinels became the North American champions once again with a 3-1 victory over 100 Thieves at the VCT Stage 3 Challengers Grand Finals.
The team will be joined by 100 Thieves and Team Envy to represent North America at the Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3 Masters Berlin event next month.
Sentinels revealed, after its win, that it is looking forward to facing teams from EMEA at Berlin.

Sentinels continues to dominate as the best North American team in the world with its third straight regional finals win at the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). The team defeated 100 Thieves in a 3-1 victory at the grand finals of the North America (NA) VCT Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs. With no other team in the world putting on such a dominant performance in any region, Sentinels is looking to be the number one contender in the Valorant Champions Tour and become the first-ever Valorant world champions. With the win in the bag, Sentinels is now headed to VCT Stage 3 Masters and stands a chance to win its third Masters title.

Sentinels vs 100 Thieves recap

The grand finals of the NA VCT Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs started off in Bind with 100 Thieves putting on a competitive performance but the team failed to stop Sentinels and succumbed 11-13 to the North American champions.

The second match in the grand finals saw 100 Thieves even the score with a 13-11 victory over Sentinels. While the first two maps were competitive, Sentinels completely dominated the next two maps with a 13-6 victory on Haven and a 13-5 on Split.

After the win at the grand finals, the winners revealed that they were not concerned about any teams that might be targeting them in Berlin and are looking forward to competing against teams from the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region.

With a dominant performance to finish off the North American regional stage, Sentinels will be going home with $40,000 USD in the bag out of the $100,000 USD prize pool. The team will be joined by 100 Thieves and Team Envy at Valorant Champions Tour Masters 3 Berlin which will kick off on 9th September.

Sentinels has already secured its spot at the Valorant Champions event which will take place at the end of 2021, where Valorant’s first world champion will be crowned. No team in any region has matched Sentinels’ dominant performance in the ongoing Challengers stage and it will be interesting to see if Sentinels manages to win its third Masters event.
