Sentinels Becomes First NA Team to Qualify for VCT Masters 3 Berlin

Sentinels continues to impress with the North American team securing a spot for Valorant Champions Tours’ Masters 3 Berlin LAN event. The Stage 2 champions took on Team Envy at the upper bracket semi-finals of the VCT Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs and earned the opportunity to defend its crown next month. Team Envy put on quite the performance, with the team coming very close to beating Sentinels in both matches but fell short. The team is still in contention and will have to win multiple rounds in the lower bracket to reach the grand finals. Sentinels on the other hand will be going up against Valorant First Strike NA champions 100 Thieves at the upper bracket finals on 14 August.

Sentinels vs Team Envy Recap

The first match at the VCT Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs had Sentinels and Team Envy trading blows for multiple rounds and neither team was able to earn a significant advantage. The match was deadlocked all the way to a 9-9 and Sentinels made it through in the final rounds of the game with a 13-11 victory.

The second match was in Haven, with Sentinels looking to win two matches in a row and secure its spot at VCT Masters 3 Berlin. Despite securing an early lead, Envy failed to capitalize on the pressure and ended up succumbing to Sentinels. The North American champions managed to pull yet another 13-11 victory and will be heading to Germany next month.

Sentinels is now the first North American team to secure a spot at Masters 3 Berlin and the only team that has secured a spot in all three masters events. The team won both Masters 1 and Masters 2, and is currently the only team in the world to secure a spot in the Valorant Champions event with VCT points. If the team manages to win Masters 3 Berlin, fans will have huge expectations from the team to go all the way and win the Valorant Champions event later this year.

VCT Masters 3 Berlin will commence on 9 September, 2021 and will continue end on 19 September, 2021. But before Sentinels defends its crown at the event, the team will be looking to end the Challengers Playoffs with a win and become the North American champions once again.
