Riot Games has officially released its Riot Mobile companion app for all its flagship titles as well as non-gaming offerings.
The app has barebones social features but it is scheduled to get esports, match history and player security updates next year.
The app is currently available to download for free on Android and iOS.

Riot Games released its ‘Riot Mobile’ app which will be replacing League+. Unlike its predecessor, the new app will serve as a mobile companion for not just League of Legends, but also Valorant, Team Fight Tactics, Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra. Existing League+ users will be upgraded to Riot Mobile while others can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

In addition to content and services surrounding its flagship games, the new app will also offer new experiences from the publisher including animated series, comics and more. The app will also be getting esports, match history and player security features in 2022.

Riot Mobile’s new features

Riot Games revealed in its official blog that the new app will see “significant improvements to experiences around esports, match history and player security shortly after our initial launch.” The publisher is aware of frequent logouts, match history not loading and other issues with the launch version of the app and they will be addressed soon.

Multi-game News Feed: The app has a multi-game newsfeed which covers the following games as well as future titles:

  • Valorant

  • League of Legends

  • League of Legends: Wild Rift

  • Legends of Runeterra

  • Team Fight Tactics

Users can customize their feed to see content only from the games that they are interested in.

Player Profiles: Players will be able to customize their profiles and view statistics and match history from any game. The match history feature is being worked on and is expected to release in the near future.

Cross-game and cross-region chat: Players are able to use one unified account for all Riot Games titles and you will be able to interact with your friends from any region.

Social Features: Users will be able to discover new friends and start conversations via the new app.

Riot Games will also be delivering content directly via the app for its existing titles as well as future offerings like the ‘Arcane’ animated series, which is set to air on 6th November, the publisher’s first single-player game ‘Ruined King’ and more.
