K'Sante talks about the monsters that surround Nazumah and vows to protect his city till the end.

Riot Games dropped the trailer for the upcoming League of Legends champion, the Shuriman tank K'Sante. The company noted that he will be a champion that will be tagged as a “high skill” bruiser.  Lead champion producer Ryan “Reav3” Mireles talked about the new Shuriman champion K'Sante, the Pride of Nazumah, in a LoL Pls video, who was briefly mentioned earlier in the last LoL Champion Roadmap in April. League of Legends (LoL) fans will finally uncover more details about Shurima and this oasis city-state on the southern outskirts of the desert.

What can we decipher from the trailer?

The video opens with the fans catching a glimpse of what appears to be K'Sante’s room in Nazumah. We see K'Sante keenly observing the notes on his desk, talking about the monsters that the people of his city are surrounded by. He declares, “I, K'Sante, stand between them and my people! To the end,” and the camera zooms in on his determined eyes.

All we know about K'Sante so far

Riot stated that, unlike other Shuriman cities and states, Nazumah does not bow to emperor Azir. Nazumah’s people compete with giant monsters to stay hydrated and built their own society around the water source. “This new champion leads the warriors of Nazumah to hunt those same monsters using the rare resources they gain to build their infrastructure and weapons,” said Reav3.

K'Sante fought and slew one of the rarest monsters in the desert, creating his own “unique Ntofos” out of the regenerating hide of the monster. Notably, Ntofos are huge, blunt weapons that are used defensively. But K'Sante can shatter them and turn them into well-crafted blades when he requires them. The infrastructure and weapons of Nazumah are built from the monsters they kill.

Additionally, Reav3 revealed that he is not sure if the champion team drew inspiration from Mali Prince Sundiata but confirmed that Nazumah and K’Sante are inspired by West African Culture.

Notably, Riot Games has collaborated with Lil Nas X for K'Sante along with the release of the 2022 Worlds anthem: Star Walkin. Lil Nas X has worked with Riot for the Prestige skin of K'Sante and this Prestige Empyrean K'Sante skin will be released on 3rd November. It shall be available until 14th November and will reportedly need to be purchased using 2,000 Worlds 2022 tokens obtained via the event pass.
