In an attempt to get players to build crit items on Miss Fortune, Riot Games is changing up the ratios on her kit.
The company has introduced major buffs for Miss Fortune on the LoL Patch 12.17 on the PBE.

Riot Games is introducing buffs to Miss Fortune’s ability kit on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) by changing the ratios on her critical strike builds. All her four abilities have been worked upon and Riot noted that the update of the goal is “making Q max and crit a bit less unfortunate.” Notably, the PBE cycle is currently testing and balancing LoL Patch 12.17 and another essential update that players need to look out for in this patch is the Maokai adjustments. Associate Game Designer Tim “truexy” Jiang introduced the Miss Fortune changes to the League of Legends community on 29th August.

He wrote, “A few bigger changes coming to PBE this week for a couple [of] champs. Starting with MF [Miss Fortune], aiming to buff her Crit builds and shift Lethality builds a bit more towards Q max over E spam.”

Before getting into the details of the changes, let us look at Miss Fortune’s abilities.

Miss Fortune’s Abilities in League of Legends

Passive: Love Tap - Miss Fortune (MF) deals bonus physical damage whenever she basic attacks a new target.

Q: Double Up - MF fires a bullet at an enemy, damaging them and a target behind them. Both strikes can also apply Love Tap.

W: Strut - Miss Fortune passively gains Move Speed when not attacked. This ability can be activated to grant bonus Attack Speed for a short duration. While it's on cooldown, Love Taps reduce the remaining cooldown of Strut.

E: Make it Rain - MF reveals an area with a flurry of bullets, dealing waves of damage to opponents and slowing them.

R: Bullet Time - MF channels a barrage of bullets into a cone in front of her, dealing large amounts of damage to enemies. Each wave of Bullet Time can critically strike.

Miss Fortune changes in PBE

Firstly, Riot Games is increasing the damage output on Miss Fortune’s Q: Double Up. Additionally, the cast time for Q will now match the basic attack speed of the player. Her W: Strut will now have increased bonus attack speed when activated and each level on the ability has gotten buffed by 10%, apart from the mana cost reduction. This will help players shift from the lethality build and max Q over E.

Notably, MF’s E: Make it Rain has also received significant cooldown buffs, and also an increase in damage over time, and slow effects. The bonus critical strike chance on her R: Bullet Time has been buffed to 30%.

The details of all the buffs are as follows:

Double Up (Q)

  • Physical Damage:: 20/40/60/80/100 (+100% Attack Damage [AD]) (+35% Ability Power [AP]) >>> 20/45/70/95/120 (+100% AD) (+35% AP)

  • Cast Time :: 0.25s >>> Matches Basic Attack Time

Strut (W)

  • Mana Cost :: 45 >>> 35

  • Attack Speed :: 40/55/70/85/100% >>> 50/65/80/95/110%

Make it Rain (E)

  • Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 >>> 18/17/16/15/14

  • Full Damage (8-tick) :: 80/115/150/185/220 (+80% AP) >>> 70/100/130/160/190 (+100% AP)

  • Slow:: 40/45/50/55/60% >>> 50% (+4% per 100 AP)

Bullet Time (R)

Bonus Critical Chance Damage:: 20% of each wave's damage >>> 30%

According to U.GG, at the time of writing, the following are the Miss Fortune stats in Platinum and above tiers in ranked queues on LoL Patch 12.16:

  • Tier: S

  • Win Rate: 51.58%

  • Pick Rate: 8.7%

  • Ban Rate: 2.7%

These changes are expected to go live on LoL Patch 12.17 on 8th September [Thursday] and after a long time, players will be seeing a shift in the build path on Miss Fortune.
