Valorant Champions 2022 is just around the corner with the tournament kicking off on 31st August and that can only mean one thing - the release of the Valorant Champions bundle for this year. Riot Games unveiled the Valorant Champions 2022 skin line and bundle and announced that it will be on sale between 23rd August and 21st September. The company added that 50% of the net proceeds will go toward the teams participating in the tournament. The Valorant Champions bundle includes a butterfly knife, a Phantom skin, a player card, and a gun buddy.
What are the items in the Valorant Champions bundle?
Riot Games said, “Celebrate Champions 2022 and support your favorite team with this limited edition bundle! The Champions 2022 Collection contains the Champions 2022 Phantom, Butterfly Knife, Trophy Card, Buddy, and Spray.”
Staying true to the theme of the collection, just like last year, the 2022 bundle will also feature the Champion’s Aura, a visual effect that makes the skins in the collection glow when the player has the most frags in the game. The Valorant Champions bundle will be available for 6265 VP or $66 USD.
The new features for this collection include a custom model change, custom firing audio, and two new additions to the Champion’s Aura. Riot added that there will be a “visual effect that evolves every 5 kills (maxing out at 25 kills), and a special easter egg on the butterfly knife that triggers if you’re top fragging and have at least 25 kills. Sorry for the spoilers.”
Riot Games released the first Valorant Champions cosmetic bundle last year to boost the prize pool of its first-ever world championship event. The bundle was available for around 20 days and reportedly generated $18.7 Million USD in revenue. The first bundle included the Champions Vandal skin, three-player cards designed around the “Die for You” music video, the Champion title, and the Valorant Karambit. 50% of the revenue from the Champions Bundle was split equally between all the teams that qualified for Valorant Champions.
Champions 2022 is all set to kick off on 31st August and will conclude on 18th September in Istanbul, Turkey. The tournament will host 16 teams from the regions of North America (NA), Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Korea (KR), Japan (JP), Brazil (BR), East Asia (EA), Asia Pacific (APAC), and Latin America (LATAM). Riot Games confirmed that the tournament will feature a live audience for the Playoffs Stage of the tournament at the Volkswagen Arena.
