In the latest ‘Stories From The Oulands’ cinematic, Respawn Entertainment confirmed that Ash is the next playable character in Apex Legends. Thew new cinematic did not confirm the release of a new map but the developers included some cryptic lines in next season’s preview page stating “No matter how beautiful it seems, every corner of the Outlands is a dangerous place. You'd be wise to remember that” with a blurred image in the background. There are leaks suggesting that a tropical island map is coming to the game but there is no official confirmation yet.
Ash will release on 2nd November 2021 in Apex Legends
The next season is set to release on 2nd November 2021 with Ash and the C.A.R SMG which was first seen in the Titanfall series. In the new cinematic it was shown that Ashleigh “Ash” Reid suffered heavy injuries and had to be turned into a simulacrum. Despite the violent and heartless nature of Ash, Reid’s real personality still seems to be trapped inside Ash’s digital mind. She tried to communicate with Mary “Horizon” Somers who is an ex-colleague but was unable to take over Ash’s persona.
There were also some cryptic numbers revealed in the new cinematic which are yet to be decoded by the community. There were no abilities showcased in the “Ashes to Ash” cinematic but Respawn Entertainment has promised an in-depth look at Apex Legends Season 11’s content on 21st October 2021 at 8 AM PST. Unlike previous seasons, the devs have been secretive about the next season’s content and with Ash being the biggest link to Titanfall 2 yet, fans will be excited to see how the devs connect Ash’s storyline in TF2 to Apex.
The new season is named Apex Legends: Escape and Sony accidentally leaked the new season’s promo art in the official Apex Legends PlayStation Store page. It remains to be seen what’s in store for fans next season in Apex Legends in addition to Ash, the new C.A.R. SMG and potentially a new map.
