The Esports Club Showdown was one of the first Valorant esports events by the tournament organizer to feature both South Asian (SA) and Southeast Asian (SEA) teams and the event ended with SEA having the last laugh. SEA overshadowed South Asia this time around with Paper Rex, Louvre and Alter Ego taking up the first, second, and third places respectively. At the grand final, Paper Rex defeated Louvre comfortably and is taking home the lion’s share of the $15,000 USD prize pool.

Ten teams from India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Singapore, and Indonesia competed at the event with Paper Rex and Louvre making it to the grand final. Paper Rex won the event 3-0 and recorded an 11-0 overall score at the event, The team did not drop a single map in the entire event.
Wang "Jinggg" Jing Jie was the star player at the grand final with a nice kill count of 69 in the bag and just 31 deaths. The player also had an impressive average combat score (ACS) of 337 at the grand finals.
Thanks to the efforts of Jinggg and his teammates, Paper Rex will be taking home $7,000 out of the $15,000 prize pool for winning the event.
Match 1 - Split (Paper Rex won 13-8)
The first half of the game was smooth sailing for Paper Rex with the team leading 8-4. The second half became tougher for the team with Louvre going toe-to-toe but the first-half advantage was too big to overcome. Paper Rex ended the game 13-8 and seemed confident in maintaining its undefeated streak.
Match 2 - Icebox (Paper Rex won 13-8)
Louvre felt its grasp on the championship slip away with Paper Rex ending the first-half 10-2. Louvre managed to apply some pressure in the second half, but once again, it was too far behind for it to matter.
Match 3 - Haven (Paper Rex won 13-2)
The third and final match was the most one-sided matchup at the event with Paper Rex looking adamant on winning the event and maintaining an undefeated streak. The team won its 11th and final map at the TEC Showdown and ended the night as the victors.
Following the conclusion of The Esports Club’s Showdown event, the tournament organizer will be hosting yet another SEA X South Asia event starting from 17th December dubbed the TEC Challenger Series Valorant. Once again, four teams from South Asia will go up against four teams from Southeast Asia for a prize pool of $20,000.
