Following a rough 2022 competitive season, Orangutan Gaming has unveiled its new Valorant lineup for the year.
The new Valorant roster consists of four former Enigma Gaming players and a young recruit from the Philippines.
With this announcement, Orangutan has now revamped both its male and female Valorant teams for the 2023 circuit.

One of the most awaited Valorant announcements in the Indian gaming community has finally been made by Orangutan Gaming as it unveiled its new lineup for the 2023 competitive season.

The fresh international roster has a mixed bag of players from India and the Philippines, consisting of seasoned local veterans like Sabyasachi "Antidote" Bose, Akram "Rawfiul" Virani, and Rishi "RvK" Vijayakumar, along with two young Filipino recruits, Jm "tesseract" Ignacio and Azis "azys" Nandang.

This change comes following a turbulent season last year where the organization failed to leave its mark on the scene. Now, all set to make a come back, "The time has finally come, After almost one year of ups and downs, we are finally ready to fight the battle."

Orangutan Gaming unveils its new Valorant roster for the 2023 season

2022 came to a close for Orangutan Gaming without any players in its Valorant roster following a disappointing run through the competitive circuit. But instead of taking a step back, the organization has doubled down by announcing a new lineup and is gearing up for the current season.

The new set of players includes three Indians and two Filipinos, making it an international team which on paper seems to be ticking a lot of the right boxes.

The first four players have basically made their way over from Enigma Gaming, who parted ways with its entire Valorant lineup in December last year, despite having a wonderful season where it even got a chance to compete in the VCT 2022: APAC Stage 2 Challengers.

The players have already played a lot of Valorant together, growing over time as a great cohesive unit, and will be looking to further refine their skills under the banner of Orangutan Gaming.

The final piece that completes this roster is none other than the young Filipino talent azys, making his way over from South Built Esports, a Philippines based esports organization. Azys competed with his former team for over a year and a half.

He will be looking to apply his skills for Orangutan, earning more experience and growing as a player, while trying to establish a name for himself in a new region - South Asia.

The new Valorant lineup of Orangutan Gaming for 2023 is as follows,

  1. Sabyasachi "Antidote" Bose - IGL

  2. Akram "Rawfiul" Virani

  3. Rishi "RvK" Vijayakumar

  4. Jm "tesseract" Ignacio

  5. Azis "azys" Nandang

This announcement comes following a female Valorant roster revamp. With two new lineups under its umbrella, Orangutan Gaming has heavily invested in this esports title and will be looking to achieve some ambitious goals in 2023.
