Sway steps down from Orangutan Gaming’s female Valorant roster

Orangutan Gaming debuted in VCT Game Changers with a roster comprising of Indian and Southeast Asian players. The team made a strong showing in 2022 and gained recognition in the Asia-Pacific region. Unfortunately, player Neha “CaspeR” Sottany had to leave the competitive lineup on October 10, 2022 due to a medical emergency. Following this, the organization also decided to part ways with Risalma “oreopheliaa” Agnia and Denise “Kachow on November 1, 2022. These departures left the team short-handed.

On 11th January 2023, Sway also announced her departure from the team. She tweeted that she will be taking a break from competitive Valorant to focus on her education. This marked the fourth departure from the team.

Orangutan Gaming Signs zini and capriciouS

On 12th January 2023, Orangutan Gaming announced the addition of two new players, zini and capriciouS, to its female Valorant roster through Twitter. zini will be competing as the in-game leader (IGL), while capriciouS will be competing as a duelist.

zini and Capricious are both well-known names in the Thai Valorant community, having competed in numerous tournaments and leagues over the past year. Prior to joining Orangutan Gaming, zini was a part of Bren Esports Victress until October 2022, with whom she secured a Top 4 finish in the VCT 2022: Game Changers APAC Elite.

On the other hand, capriciouS previously competed with ZOL Meraki in various tournaments including the VCT 2022: Game Changers APAC Elite and managed to secure a Top 3 finish in the tournament.
