Orangutan Female officially parted ways with Risalma “oreopheliaa” Agnia and Denise “Kachow” with both players departing from its female Valorant roster on 1st November. This marks the third departure from the roster in the last 30 days, as Neha “CaspeR” Sottany left the team on 10th October. Kachow and Casper joined the team in April 2022, whereas oreopheliaa joined later in August. The team put forth an impressive performance with their inclusion and represented the organization in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Game Changers Asia-Pacific: Elite earlier last month.
Orangutan Female drops two players from its Valorant roster
In a recent Facebook post, Kachow revealed that she is taking a break from the Valorant pro scene to take care of her health for the remainder of the year. She said, “I’m officially taking a break from the Valorant pro-scene and will be focusing on my own well-being for the rest of the year.” Later, in the same post, she revealed that she is not leaving professional gaming for good and will return soon. She added, “While my plans for the future are still uncertain, my love and passion for gaming is still there. I’ll come back stronger next year, and I’m definitely not going to let myself lag behind.” On the other hand, oreopheliaa has not yet released any official statement from her end.
While CaspeR was in Orangutan Gaming’s bootcamp in Singapore earlier last month, playing VCT Game Changers APAC (Asia Pacific) Elite, she was rushed to the hospital amidst a game and hospitalized due to some health issues. Following this, on 10th October, CaspeR left the female roster of Orangutan. She tweeted that she won’t be playing as an esports athlete for Orangutan Female as she wants to focus on her mental and physical wellbeing. Furthermore, she mentioned that she would continue to be a part of the organization as a content creator.
Following these three departures, the female roster of Orangutan Gaming is now left with three players and a coach. The current roster includes the following:
Swayambika “Sway” – India
Chloe “Chloettw” Wong – Singapore
Japips – Philippines
Asad “GuNNeR” Azam (Coach) – Pakistan
Although the female roster of Orangutan Gaming did not win any championship, it showed tremendous promise throughout its journey in VCT Game Changers. There are no official tournaments scheduled for the team in the near future and therefore the team has time to other players and rebuild its roster.
