New Valorant Map ‘Testing Grounds’ Potentially Hinted in Valorant Episode 3 Battle Pass
The card caught the attention of fans in the community who have started speculating about a potential new map

Valorant Episode 3: Reflection’s first battle pass includes a player card that could be hinting at the game’s next map. Riot Games tends to hide hints about agents and maps in its battle passes and it looks like the new Episode Three: Act One battle pass is no different. If you head to tier-42 of the new battle pass, you will notice a player card which shows off an unknown location that is not present in the game. The card caught the attention of fans in the community and some members managed to theorize about a potential new map that may be headed to Valorant in one of the future Acts of Episode Three.
‘Testing Grounds’ may be Valorant’s next map
Valorant lore enthusiast Cynprel spotted some hidden details in the tier-42 player card in the new Valorant Episode 3: Act 1 player card. They talked about how the scene showcased in the card is reminiscent of a Southwestern US landscape and keen-eyed lore enthusiasts in the community also identified a radianite hazard symbol that is present in the location. There is also a floating triangle in the plateau of the image’s background which could hint at the new map being a potential radianite island similar to Ascent.
With Radianite being present in the location, there is no doubt that the mirrored agents will be going after it. Very little is known about Radianite in the game’s lore and it seems to be connected to Dark Matter. It was initially thought to be a clean source of energy but it inflicted supernatural abilities to people who eventually came to be known as Radiants.
Riot Games has a history of including hints for new content ahead of launch in its battle passes and it is plausible that the new player card is hinting at the next map. Breeze was teased in similar fashion and it was teased multiple times. A “Lost at Sea” player card was including in a previous battle pass which showcases a cargo ship heading towards Breeze.
Riot Games is yet to make any information about the game’s next map official. Currently the studio releases one map per episode and with Valorant Episode 3 kicking off earlier this month, we can expect a new map in Act 2 or 3 as the episode progresses.
