New League of Legends Jungle Champion Bel'Veth Leaked

Riot Games revealed that the next champion to grace the Summoner’s Rift would be a jungler from the Void. This jungler, who is yet to join the League of Legends roster, seems to have been leaked ahead of the official announcement. The jungler is supposedly called Bel'Veth, the Void Empress who was teased by Riot Games.

Earlier this week, Riot wrote in the League of Legends (LoL) Champion Roadmap that this jungler will be someone who is beautiful, inevitable, and foretold. Riot further said, “A new skirmisher for all those jungle players out there. A new Empress to submit to… and you will submit.”

What do we know about Bel'veth?

The LoL Champion Roadmap stated that the Void Jungler, Bel'Veth, will be a skirmisher and that those who “submit to her” willingly will be rewarded by becoming a part of the “ever-expanding Lavender Sea.”

Riot said, “Give in to your Empress and let her feed on your essence, so you may become part of the new evolution of Runeterra. And as an added bonus, if you succumb to her you will also bear witness to her true elegance, her true beauty, and the true face of the Void.”

This kind of teased that Bel'Veth may have two forms since Riot said players will witness her true beauty if they succumb to her.

In the League of Legends Season 2022 Opening Day livestream, Lead Producer of Champions Ryan “Reav3” Mireles teased the Void jungler by reciting a monologue, while being taken over by some power. With his eyes turned all purple, in a deep voice, as if echoing from the Void, Mireles said, “I see it. I see everything. The lavender sea, purple cities cover the land. She rules over it all, my empress. This is what Runeterra should be, its true form. ”

Drawing from this information, it seems like Bel'Veth will be taking over or “possessing” the enemies on the Rift, bending them according to her will.

Leaked gameplay video

Youtube channels Ryscu and Big Bad Bear leaked Bel'Veth’s character model in League of Legends. From the video, it seems like Bel'Veth’s model draws inspiration from a manta ray.

It also seems that the Void Empress has two forms, the base form where she has a human head and another where she embodies a monster from the depths of the Void.

Additionally, Bel'Veth’s potential ability names were also leaked. Twitter user Bess revealed the Void jungler’s ability names.

According to Bess, they are:

• Passive - Death In Lavender

• Q - Void Surge

• W - Above and Below

• E - Royal Maelstrom

• Ultimate - Endless Banquet

It is theorized that her ultimate, Endless Banquet, is what makes her take up the monstrous form, with golden accents all over her body. The video also said that Bel'Veth takes up the regal appearance after casting her ultimate spell.

However, Riot has not revealed any details about the new Void jungler’s abilities or gameplay. Since these are just leaks, Bel'Veth’s name and her ability names could change and the community should take this with a pinch of salt. One thing for certain is that the new champion looks very interesting and after Zeri and Renata, this jungle champion will also likely have a unique and expansive kit.
