New Apex Legends ‘Thrillseekers’ Event Announced

Respawn Entertainment just announced the ‘Thrillseekers’ event for Apex Legends through their official Youtube channel by releasing a minute long trailer. This event will introduce a new map, weekly rewards tracks, and more, starting 13th July 2021. Thrillseekers will be available till 3rd Aug 2021 and players will be able to earn cosmetics and crafting materials from three unique reward tracks for free. The highlight of the upcoming update is the new Overflow map which will be exclusive to Arenas. Playing Arenas during the event will also allow players to earn some exclusive badges throughout the event. Apex Legends Thrillseekers will also feature the return of several limited-time cosmetics including the fan-favorite Voidwalker skin for Wraith, with the default color palette.

Apex Legends Thrillseekers: New Map

The new Overflow map in Apex Legends differs from other Arena maps by being lane focused; where each location is separated by tall, lava-filled structures. With this separation, players cannot easily spot early decisions made by the other team and will need to stay vigilant before committing to a side or risk being flanked. While there are opportunities for long-range engagements, combat tends to favor short-to-medium ranges along either POI (Point of Interest): Overlook or Slope.

Overlook is a long, open area with a central interior that gives a height advantage over this POI. While this area is perfect for snipers or DMRs, players may want to hold the interior to not only control this area but their flank as well. Slope, as the name implies, offers both a high ground and a unique area where players can slide down to a remote part of the map. This area can be used for sneaky flanks or defensive setups where players may not expect it.

New Rewards Tracks

Week one gives you a chance to unlock the Rampart Wastelander Set, which includes a matching gun charm, weapon skin, and a Legendary Rampart skin.

Week two grants Battle Pass boosters, crafting metals, and Apex packs.

Week three includes the Lethal Enforcer Bangalore Skin, along with other goodies.

Exclusive badges

There are three badges up for grabs in the upcoming event, which include:

Week One Badge: Play 20 Arena Games Total

Week Two Badge: Get 100 Knockdowns Total in Arenas

Week Three Badge: Deal 12,000 Damage Total in Arenas

Cosmetics Sale

There will be some limited-time cosmetics making a return at the Apex Legends ‘Thrillseekers’ event including the Youngblood skin for Bloodhound and the Voidwalker skin for Wraith. Here is a closer look at all of the skins which will be available.
