Monyet from Global Esports has broken the world record for taking the most kills in a single map on LAN at the VCT 2023 Pacific League.
He achieved the feat against DRX on Split, securing a total of 39 kills in 32 rounds.
The previous record was held by xffero who had taken 38 kills during the Valorant Champions 2022.

The South Asian representatives at the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), Global Esports (GE), is still searching for its first international victory following three consecutive losses to Vitality, T1, and DRX.

However, the team has consistently shown growth with its performance impressing many in the community, especially the young talent from Indonesia, Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha.

During GE's recent bout against DRX, the 18-year-old set a new world record for taking the most kills in a single map on LAN by securing 39 frags in 32 rounds.

His performance with Astra was exemplary, shutting down mid-access to DRX on Split in multiple rounds with an array of different weapons.

VCT 2023 Pacific League witnesses record-breaking performance by Monyet during DRX vs Global Esports

All expectations were exceeded by Global Esports during its best-of-three match against DRX in week two of the ongoing regular season at the VCT 2023 Pacific League.

Global Esports did not give an inch to the best team from the Asia Pacific (APAC) region without putting up a solid fight, pushing them hard, and forcing them to rely on raw firepower from Jung "Foxy9" Jae-sung multiple times.

During the team’s encounter on the second map, Split. The young talent from Indonesia, Monyet, went all out for Global Esports, winning several rounds for the side in heroic fashion, including a hard clutch ace.

Though GE went on to lose the map 15-17, Monyet dominated this game with 39 kills to his name, breaking the record for the most kills taken in a single map on LAN. He successfully overtook the previous high of 38 kills by David "xffero" Monangin attained during Valorant Champions 2022 with BOOM Esports.

Global Esports has now lost three consecutive international Valorant matches but has also shown growth with each passing series. GE will be next seen in action against ZETA DIVISION on 9th April and hopefully Monyet will be able to replicate such a performance.
