Orangutan will not be at full strength at the VCL 2023 South Asia opener against Lethal Esports.
Orangutan will be replacing RvK with LeVi in its first match of the league due to the former having developed an ear infection.
LeVi will be debuting for Orangutan against the completely Indian roster of Lethal Esports.

The opening match of the Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2023 South Asia is scheduled to take place between Orangutan and Lethal Esports today, 18th March, from 19:30 onwards.

Unfortunately, Orangutan will not be able to showcase its full strength as it will be stepping out with a slight change in its playing five as Rajiv "LeVi" Satpute shall be replacing Rishi "RvK" Vijayakumar.

On the other hand, there will be no such change in the ranks of Lethal Esports, stepping forward with its completely Indian roster comprising of many esports veterans from the country.

LeVi to debut for Orangutan in its opening match of VCL 2023 South Asia as RvK suffers from an ear infection

It is going to be a tough start for Orangutan who will be playing the league opener against Lethal Esports on a slight backfoot. The change had to be made as RvK suffers from an ear infection which has rendered him unable to hear anything from his left ear.

The 22-year-old revealed this information publicly earlier today, stating "I have a severe ear infection and I’m not able to hear anything out of my left ear. It is still unclear as to how serious this is but hopefully at the end of the week I’ll be better and ready to play. Thank you for all of the love, I’ll be on the server soon."

At this point in time it is unclear how long it might take for the ear infection to heal completely. RvK hopes that it will be better by the end of the week. If this stands true then we could potentially see him in action at Orangutan's next match against Aster Army, scheduled to take place on 26th March at 21:00 IST.

RvK reveals why he will not be able to play for Orangutan

The situation has granted LeVi an opportunity to play in the starting five for Orangutan. Hopefully, the 20-year-old will be able to utilize this opportunity to prove how good of a player he really is. This will be his first time playing for the organization, making it his official debut for the side.

It will not be easy going against an experienced team like Lethal Esports which comprises of a lot of industry veterans. With both teams looking to start their journey on a positive note, this best-of-three series is shaping up to be a really exciting match.
