Netflix has announced that Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story will be available worldwide on its Games service platform. Hextech Mayhem is a rhythm platformer and a spinoff of League of Legends. The game’s storyline is connected with the regions of Zaun and Piltover from the League of Legends universe. Users can play Hextech Mayhem on Android and iOS devices for free with a Netflix subscription.
The game is developed by Choice Provisions and is published by Riot Forge, a player-and developer-focused publisher by Riot Games that offers smaller games centered in the League of Legends universe. Hextech Mayhem was initially released on 16th Nov 2021 and is available on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Hextech Mayhem characters
In this fast-paced rhythm runner, every action has an explosive reaction and no amount of mayhem is too much. Take on the role of yordle and Hexplosives expert Ziggs as you rampage through the neighborhoods of Piltover”Riot Forge
Hextech Mayhem features two prominent League of Legends champions - Ziggs and Heimerdinger. While Ziggs broke away from his mundane life in Piltover and waved goodbye to his life as an inventor’s assistant, Professor Heimerdinger has been relentless in his pursuit of “answering the universe’s most impenetrable questions.”
Hextech Mayhem, a rhythm platformer, allows players to embody Hexplosives expert Ziggs, a yordle in love with bombs and explosions. As Ziggs runs through the streets of Piltover in each level of the game, players have to make him dodge obstacles in his path and help him escape Piltover’s Enforcers led by Heimerdinger. Ziggs movements in-game are in sync with the level’s music score.

Just like any other rhythm-based game, the core gameplay is based on running and hitting the right beats at the right time to cross the obstacles. Ziggs can perform moves like bomb jumps and attacks which will help him avoid obstacles and disarm enemies.
The gameplay features are as follows:

Riot's decision to team up with Netflix to provide Hextech Mayhem to the players is not at all surprising. Given that the two companies had already collaborated for Arcane, using the platform again for this spinoff game only seems natural. The League of Legends community has been offered a huge platter of content to consume by way of shows, series, and spin off games.
