League of Legends’ Spanish league Superliga Kicks off 2022 Spring Split

League of Legends’ Spanish super league Superliga started the regular games of the 2022 Spring Split on 10th January.
The games of the split will be streamed live on Mondays and Thursdays starting at 6.00 pm CET.
Ten teams including the academy teams of Fnatic, G2 Esports and Mad Lions are participating in the league

The LVP Superliga, formerly called the LVP Superliga Orange, is one of the biggest Spanish League of Legends esports competitions and is considered an extremely strong national league in Europe. With new teams joining, esports enthusiasts are keenly following the league as it has been a major contributor of player talent to the League of Legends European Championship (LEC).

Popular LEC players including MAD Lions’ (MAD) jungler Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla, G2 Esports’ (G2) bot laner Victor “Flakked” Lirola, and Team Vitality’s (VIT) Oskar "Selfmade" Boderek are prodigies that emerged from the Spanish super league. LEC teams Fnatic (FNC), G2, and MAD have their academy rosters playing in the Superliga.

The LVP Superliga commenced its 2022 Spring Split on 10th January.

Teams participating in Superliga’s 2022 Spring Split

A total of ten teams will participate in the 2022 Spring Split. The teams are

  1. Barça eSports (BAR)


  3. Fnatic TeamQueso (FNTQ)

  4. G2 Arctic (G2AR)

  5. Giants (GIA)

  6. KOI (KOI)

  7. MAD Lions Madrid (MADM)

  8. Movistar Riders (MRS)

  9. Team Heretics (THR)

  10. UCAM Tokiers (UCAM)

The first game of the split was played between Movistar Riders and Team Heretics on 10th January, followed by the first games of the year for G2 Arctic and Fnatic TQ. For Fnactic’s academy team, in particular, this marked their debut in the Superliga.

Fans looking forward to watching the games of the league can tune into the Superliga’s Twitch channel on Mondays and Thursdays from 6.00 pm CET. But the broadcast is only available in Spanish for now.

Superliga Spring Split 2022

The ten teams participating in the Superliga Spring Split will play best-of-one (BO1) matches in a double round-robin and the top six teams will make it to the playoffs.

After the games on Day 1 of the split, teams THR, BSO, FNTQ, KOI, and GIA have all won a game each.
