It is time for the Lunar New Year and it means Riot Games is all set to celebrate it in style with the recurring Lunar Revel in-game event. As always, it has announced a set of new skins and event missions for League of Legends, expected to hit the servers in Patch 12.2. The 13 skins for Lunar Revel 2022 are from the two skin lines: Porcelain and Firecracker. Riot also revealed that the event pass and weekly missions for Lunar Revel 2022 were undergoing significant changes to help players get their hands on the rewards easily.
Lunar Revel 2022: Porcelain and Firecracker Skins
To commemorate the event, Riot released a cinematic starring Ezreal, Lux, and Lissandra, all in their Porcelain outfits. The skin line is new to the game and the color accents for the theme are white and blue. Amumu and Kindred are the other two champions receiving a new look this year, thanks to this new Porcelain skin line. Apart from this, Lux is all set to receive a prestige skin for the same. The Porcelain skins feature spirit animals for each of the champions as seen in the skin splash art and the cinematic with tigers, snakes, fish, and the like.
Riot is also introducing new feisty skins under the Firecracker skin line for Lunar Revel 2022. Champions Diana, Sett, Teemo, Tristana, and Xin Zhao are all set to receive their explosive makeovers alongside the other cosmetics meant to release in Patch 12.2.

The Lunar Revel event is making its way back onto the rift and players can soon complete missions and the event pass by earning tokens. Riot announced that it was easing some of the requirements for Lunar Revel 2022 event missions to make earning rewards less taxing for the players.
During the Debonair event in December 2021, Riot announced changes to the mission system, establishing that points would be earned based on how much time one spends playing, rather than how many games one plays.
The Debonair event saw significant backlash from the community as it felt like more games had to be played to farm the event tokens. The community also criticized Riot for not configuring a “carry over” system for the points.
“Our goal was to make League events more focused on League games, as well as to better respect your time. However, we missed the mark on that second part—the technical hurdle of not having a point "rollover" mechanic unintentionally slowed down token rates, which truly was not the goal. Debonair event pass owners received a special mission for extra rewards accordingly, and we've made adjustments for this next event,” wrote Communications Specialist Jina “Ahrisoo” Yoon in a blogpost.
Players, regardless of whether they purchase the event pass, can now access the rewards from Lunar Revel 2022 at a faster rate. But the new point system is here to stay and will be implemented for the Lunar orb mission and the Lunar Revel 2022 Milestone Missions. Only the total points required for each of these missions are reduced.
Riot revealed that the token bank missions have been reverted to the old system until the rollover problem is addressed and all other general objective requirements have been lowered by 15-40%. Token bank missions can be repeated infinitely and tokens earned through these objectives are added to the token banks, but they will remain unusable by the non-pass owners.
