League of Legends: Bug With Ivern's Ultimate Leaves Players Scratching Their Heads

Cover-Credits:
Bugs are not new to League of Legends. In fact, there is a running joke in the community that the game is run on spaghetti code by Riot Games. Some of the bugs that players face are not so game-changing, whereas some of them directly have a bearing on the way the game is played and handicap gameplay opportunities. One such bug that has been brought to the fore, by a Reddit user, is the bug surrounding Ivern’s R - Daisy!. The champion interactions mentioned in the original post were tested out in League of Legends’ custom games and the practice tool. The bugs mentioned did occur during testing.
The Reddit user said that debuffs and shred effects that reduce magic resist and armor caused Daisy to flee from the source and it also interrupted any other movement commands. In such instances, Daisy ran away in the opposite direction of the source. According to the original poster (OP), the bug has been in the game for months, if not years at this point.
Even in the past, Ivern has had bugs including problems with his W - Brushmaker and his ultimate.
What is Ivern’s Ultimate spell?
Ivern’s ultimate enables him to summon a sentinel that will aid him in combat.
R - DAISY!
Ivern summons his Sentinel friend Daisy to fight with him. Daisy will send out a shockwave if she attacks the same champion three times in a row.
Daisy can be controlled just like Annie’s R - Tibbers. Players need to hold the Alt key and move Daisy and she will follow the movement and combat commands.
Which champion abilities can trigger this bug?
The bug can be reportedly caused by shred effects from champions including Nasus, Corki, Sion, Karthus, Vi, Jarvan IV, Rell, Jayce, Kog’Maw, Renekton, and Wukong.
The way this bug is triggered differs from one champion to another. Daisy runs away from the source of damage when the following abilities are cast.
Nasus
When E is cast, Nasus unleashes a spirit flame at a location, dealing damage and reducing the Armor of enemies who stand on it. When E is cast and Daisy walks on it, she immediately turns away and runs in the opposite direction. It only works when she walks into Spirit Fire but not when she is already attacking Nasus and then he casts E.
Rell - (Q + Basic attack)
Q - Shattering Strike
Rell thrusts her lance to deal magic damage to units in a line, breaking their shields. The first unit hit additionally suffers Break the Mold's (passive) defense steal. If Rell is bound to an ally with Attract and Repel, they both recover health for each enemy champion hit by this spell.
Passive - Break the Mold
Rell attacks slowly but steals her target's Armor and Magic Resist on hit, dealing bonus damage based on the amount stolen.
Corki
E - Gatling Gun
Corki's Gatling Gun rapidly fires in a cone in front of him, dealing damage and reducing enemy Armor and Magic Resist.
Sion
E - Roar of the Slayer
Sion fires a short-range shockwave that damages, slows and reduces the armor of the first enemy hit. If the shock wave hits a minion or monster, it will be knocked back, damaging, slowing, and reducing the armor of all enemies that it passes through.
Karthus
W - Wall of pain
Karthus creates a passable screen of leeching energy. Any enemy units that walk through the screen have their Move Speed and Magic Resist reduced for a period.
Vi
W - Denting Blows
Vi's punches break her opponent's Armor, dealing bonus damage and granting her Attack Speed.
Jarvan IV
Q - Dragon Strike
Jarvan IV extends his lance, dealing physical damage and lowering the Armor of enemies in its path. Additionally, this will pull Jarvan to his Demacian Standard, knocking up enemies in his path.
Kog’Maw
Q - Caustic Spittle
Kog'Maw launches a corrosive projectile that deals magic damage and corrodes the target's armor and magic resist for a short time. Kog'Maw also gains additional attack speed.
Additionally, Jayce’s R transformation between Mercury Canon and Mercury Hammer also triggers this bug. Apart from this, Renekton Empowered E - Slice and Dice and Wukong’s Q - Crushing Blow also causes the Daisy bug in-game.
“The ‘amount’ of times this bug can occur per ‘spell’ depends on the spell but certain champions like Rell and Corki can ‘perma’ apply the bug with their respective spells as you can see down below. While champions like Karthus, Wu[kong] and Renekton can only apply it once per spell cast,” read the post.
Some of the other interactions have been captured and uploaded by the Redditor in the original post.
