After nine weeks of play, the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) concluded its regular season matches and announced its playoff bracket for LCK 2023 Summer Playoffs. Teams will be eyeing to win the LCK Summer 2022 Playoffs, as it is the most-important season before the League of Legends World Championship. A total of six teams compete in this stage for the LCK title and the Worlds 2023 qualification.

While ten teams competed in a round-robin group stage, only six made it to the LCK Summer 2023 Playoffs. Reigning Spring 2023 champion, Gen.G will look to claim its trophy in the Summer split also but has to be prepared to take down strong teams like KT Rolster.

A guide to LCK Summer 2023 Playoffs

The LCK Summer 2023 Playoffs is the final stage of the Summer Split and the top six teams in the Korean league compete for prize money and coveted Championship Points. The winner of the playoffs earns the Summer Champion title and also directly qualifies for Worlds 2023. The playoffs will run from 8th August and conclude on 20th August with the grand finals.

Format

  • The top six teams from the Summer Season participate

  • Double elimination bracket starting from Round 2

  • The first and second seeds receive a bye to Round 2

  • 3rd to 6th seeds start in Round 1, with the losers being eliminated

  • The 3rd seed selects either the 5th or 6th seed to play against in Round 1

  • 1st seed selects Round 1 winner to play against in Round 2

  • All matches are best-of-five (BO5)

  • The winner qualifies for the 2022 Season World Championship

Schedule for LCK Summer Playoffs

The placement of the teams in the Summer Split determines the round into which they are seeded. The following was the seeding after the conclusion of the regular games of the Summer Split:

First seed: KT Rolster (17W-1L)

Second seed: GEN.G (16W-2L)

Third seed: HLE (12W-6L)

Fourth seed: DK (11W-7L)

Fifth seed: T1 (9W-9L)

Sixth seed: DRX (6W-12L)
