A guide to LCK 2023 Spring Playoffs

The LCK 2023 Spring Playoffs is the third playoff stage of Korea's professional League of Legends league under the partnership. A total of six teams compete for the LCK Spring title and MSI qualification.

Format

  • The top six teams from the Spring Season participate

  • Double elimination bracket starting from Round 2

  • 1st and 2nd seeds receive a bye to Round 2

  • 3rd to 6th seed start in Round 1, with the losers being eliminated

  • All matches are best-of-five (BO5)

  • The top two teams qualify for the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational

This year the LCK introduced a double-elimination bracket. As a result, the four teams that qualify for Round 2 will have a second chance to continue fighting even if they lose a series. Notably, the Korean league has been running a single-elimination bracket since 2012 where teams would get eliminated just after one loss. Fans should note that the double-elimination bracket begins only when there are only four teams remaining.
