The LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea) Regional Finals 2023 determines the last two teams to qualify for World Championship or Worlds 2023. The four teams with the highest Championship Points besides the LCK Summer 2023 winner and the team with the highest Championship Points will play a double-elimination format tournament to make it to Worlds.
With Gen.G winning the LCK Summer 2023 and T1 becoming the team with the second highest Championship Points, they qualified for Worlds 2023 as the first and second seed to represent Korea.
Now, there are two more slots left to be filled and fans are already very excited for LCK 2023 Regional Finals.

LCK 2022 Regional Finals: Format
As noted, the LCK 2023 Regional Finals will determine the third and fourth Korean teams to qualify for Worlds 2023. The format is as follows:
The top four teams in Championship Points (excluding the teams already qualified for Worlds 2023) participate.
Matches are best-of-five.
Double-elimination bracket.
If you are unware of the scoring system, Championship Points are awarded to teams at the end of the Spring and Summer splits according to their placements. Put together, the team with the highest points (apart from the winner of Summer Split who qualifies directly) becomes the second seed from the LCK.

KT Rolster (KT) - 3rd seed according to Championship Points
Hanwha Life (HLE) - 4th seed according to Championship Points
Dplus Kia (DK) - 5th seed according to Championship Points
DRX - 6th seed according to Championship Points
Schedule for LCK Regional Finals
A total of three BO5 series will take place in LCK 2023 Regional Finals. In Round 1, KT will take on HLE and DK will take on DRX. While the winner of the KT vs HLE match will automatically qualify for Worlds as the third LCK seed, the loser of this match will go to Round 2 Qualification match.
Meanwhile, the loser of the DK vs DRX match will be eliminated from contention. The winner of this series will go onto the Round 2 Qualification match and fight for the last spot to represent LCK at Worlds 2023.
The LCK 2023 Regional Finals kicked off on 24th August and will come to a conclusion on 26th August.
