Raven Software dropped a mid-season patch for Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 Reloaded on 28th July. This new update brought the T-800 and T-1000 from the Terminator movie franchise and also introduced players to the new mode Titanium Trials. Call of Duty introduces a new patch mid-way through every season called “Reloaded” which usually brings forth a new weapon, and new game modes, alongside other buffs, nerfs, and quality of life changes. One of the major attractions of this patch seems to be the meta change to shotguns in the game with the VLK Rogue getting a massive buff.
For quite some time now, shotguns in Call of Duty Warzone failed to take over the close-range meta but Raven Software is spicing things up by buffing some of the shotguns in the game in the Season 4 Reloaded update. With this update, VLK Rogue has become one of the most talked about guns in the game now.
What is the VLK Rogue in Call of Duty Warzone?
The VLK Rogue is a straight pull bolt-action shotgun that was added to Call of Duty Warzone in Season 2. The game describes the VLK Rogue as, “An agile 12-gauge mag fed shotgun from VLK with extensive options to modify the range, stability, and maneuverability.”
In the latest Season 4 Reloaded update, the following shotguns received an increase in the Max Pellet Damage by 26% :
Shotgun Charlie
Model 680
VLK Rogue
Thanks to the increase in the max pellet damage, the VLK Rogue can one-shot players with the right attachments and loadout.
Best VLK Rogue loadout in Call of Duty Warzone
Warzone expert and content creator IceManIsaac stated that the VLK Rogue is an absolute beast in the game right now and shared what he thinks is the perfect loadout for the gun.
Muzzle: Forge TAC Marauder
Barrel: 16″ Warlord
Laser: 5mW Laser
Stock: No Stock
Magazine: 8-R Dragon’s Breath
The Forge TAC Marauder helps with a tighter pellet spread to do more damage and also keeps the sound suppressed. The 16” Warlord also helps with a tighter pellet spread and allows the gun to shoot with accuracy. The 5mW Laser in the build is significant because it helps with hip fire accuracy and using no stock helps the players move around the map pretty swiftly. Finally, the 8-R Dragon’s Breath helps with Incendiary Damage, and if the enemies do not have the E.O.D. (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) perk, enemies can be taken down in one shot.
According to Warzone Ranked, this loadout has a pick rate of 35.38% and a 3.99% win rate, making it the highest ranked loadout at the moment.
