Valorant Masters Berlin just concluded and teams all over the world have one final chance to make it to Valorant Champions. Teams that have not already qualified for Valorant Champions, but have enough circuit points or are eligible through Riot-partnered events will be able to compete in the Valorant Champions Tour APAC Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ) for one last shot at making it to the world championships. The LCQ Event will commence on 11th October and it will conclude on 17th October. Some of the best teams in the Asia-Pacific region will be competing in the upcoming event for one last spot for a Southeast Asian representative at Champions. Here is how you can catch up on the upcoming event.

Valorant Champions Tour APAC Last Chance Qualifier: Event Overview

Riot Games released an official schedule for the event earlier this month but ZETA Division and Chinese teams have pulled out of the event, which will lead to some changes in the event’s format. While the schedule will remain the same, Riot Games will be changing the format. The revised format will feature the following team allocations:

Southeast Asia - 3

Korea - 3

Japan - 3

South Asia – 1

Indian esports organization Global Esports (GE) will be heading to the APAC Last Chance Qualifiers and it could potentially become the first Indian team to make it to Valorant Champions if it wins the event. This is the first time that an Indian team will be competing in the international stage. If GE proves itself to be worthy contender among the top teams in the APAC region, we could see Indian Valorant esports get a lot more recognition.

The team is temporarily relocating to Thailand to compete at lower latency so that GE can have an even footing against other competing teams. The upcoming event shall see GE going up against the likes of BOOM Esports, REJECT and Paper Rex.

The teams competing in the upcoming event include:

  • Global Esports

  • BOOM Esports

  • Paper Rex

  • REJECT

  • FULL SENSE

  • Northeption

  • FENNEL

  • NUTURN Gaming

  • F4Q

  • DAMWON Gaming

Teams will fight through a double elimination bracket with a best-of-three format at each stage between 11th to 16th October, before culminating in the Grand Finals which will be in a best-of-five format on 17th October. The winners will head straight to Valorant Champions and represent the APAC (Asia Pacific) region.
