The fifth match of the Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2023: South Asia was between GodLike Esports and MLT Esports. The match took place on 23rd March and was one for the history books.
During a recent livestream, Vishal "haiVaan" Sharma, former professional Valorant player turned streamer and content creator for GodLike Esports, shared his opinion on the match, in which his organization lost by a 2-0 scoreline.
"We did not play well, I will say this from the bottom of my heart, GodLike did not play well yesterday. I even had a discussion with GHATAK (Abhijeet Andhare), even he saw the match and did not enjoy the team's performance," expressed haiVaan, further commenting on Shakir "hikkA" Razak's viral whiff.
HaiVaan gives his opinion on GodLike's loss to MLT and HikkA's crucial whiff
One of the most intense series took place between GodLike and MLT thanks to the thrilling second game which took place on Haven. It was one of the most exhausting overtime thrillers, concluding with a 22-20 scoreline in favor of MLT.
This provoked a lot of reactions from the regional Valorant community and one of the central points of discussion was hikkA's whiff against Abhay "KnightRider" Mulchandani, which ultimately resulted in MLT breaking the overtime waterfall and winning the game.
"Did you guys see that? Nothing happens, but I will not say anything. Things like this happen, what can he do, in situations like this it is not even hikkA's fault completely. He tried his best," said haiVaan, while giving his opinion about the crucial miss that possibly costed them the game and also the series.
He went on to commend Venkatesh "Venka" Sharma for his absolutely brilliant performance on Jett, clutching multiple rounds that helped his team big time in securing that sweep against GodLike Esports.
A thing to note here is that GodLike was playing with two substitute players, Kasif "Paradox" Sayyed and Shailesh "blackhawk" Dalvi, as the two Filipino players signed by the organization, Franz "Astro" del Rosario and Jude Patrick "Zey" Gunhuran, faced some immigration issues.
