Global Esports CEO Gives Update on Valorant Player Visas for VCT Pacific League

Indian esports organization, Global Esports, is one of the ten partnered teams that will be competing in the upcoming VCT 2023: Pacific League which is scheduled to start from 25^th March onwards.

During a recent livestream, Rushindra "Salbatic" Sinha - CEO of Global Esports, provided the audience with an update about the team's situation with regards to when all the players and staff would be arriving in Seoul, South Korea, where the league is set to take place on LAN.

"We can't do anything because everything is being processed. We have already submitted all our documents and now we just wait. We are literally in the phase of wait and watch, we cannot do anything," said Rushindra about the visa status of all the players as of 15^th March.

On 15^th March, an update from the CEO of Global Esports had come forward revealing that all the required documents had been submitted by the players and now they were simply waiting for the passports to come back.

"It can come back at any time this week or early next week. As soon as their passport arrives they will fly out to South Korea. Everything has been processed we are only waiting for their passports now," said Rushindra.

He further mentioned that Kim "texture" Na-ra, Park "Bazzi" Jun-ki, and Jordan "AYRIN" He were already at the South Korean bootcamp, while Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha, Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar, Abhirup "Lightningfast" Choudhury, and Michael "WRONSKI" Wronski were in the final process of receiving their visas.

Rushindra did not provide any hints about the possible playing five that we can expect to see in action at the tournament, he instructed everyone to wait till the day of their match to find this out.

Talking about the delay in applying for visas, Rushindra pointed out how they were running around with almost no time on their hands applying for a bunch of them one after the other.

1. The first was for Brazil to compete in the VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo.

2. The second is the current one for South Korea to compete in VCT 2023: Pacific League.

3. The third is for Japan in case they qualify for the VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo.

4. The fourth and final is for America for the Valorant Champions 2023 which will be held in Los Angeles.

"It takes two to three months, it is not easy. Those who think it is easy, it is very tough because all these people need to go on work visas for which various kinds of documents and paperwork is required," says Rushindra.

He even mentioned how Riot Games helps them out by providing them a certain invite document but beyond that, the players and organizations have to ensure all other papers are in order.
