DRX wins the Korean derby as Gen.G Esports puts up a tough fight

The top two teams of the league going agianst each other was always going to be an exciting affair and both teams delivered when it came to this. It was a nervous start for Gen.G who lost their map pick Haven without being able to put up a worthy fight.

Despite the loss, they delivered on the next map Fracture which was DRX's pick. It was not an easy grab but they went toe-to-toe and then pushed a bit more to level the series.

Having shown dominance on each other's map pick, the match boiled down to who would win the decider on Pearl. Unfortunately, Gen.G ran out of gas by this time which resulted in a 13-4 runaway victory for DRX.

With this, the exciting best-of-three series between the two Korean sides came to a close. The fifth consecutive win for DRX and the first loss for Gen.G Esports, who showed that their opponents were indomitable but even they bleed from time to time.

The duo of MaKo and BuZz was the big difference maker which resulted in DRX walking away with yet another win. They registered ACS (Average Combat Score) of 200 and 230 respectively along with K/D/A of 42/33/21 and 49/39/6.

DRX will be next seen in action against RRQ where as Gen.G will take on Global Esports on 30th April as part of week six of the regular season.
