The Winners Bracket of the Gamers8 PUBG Global Series 2023 has commenced and at the end of Day 1, 17 Gaming, Soniqs, and Theerathon Five have secured the top three spots. While the teams that dominated the group stage like CEREBRUS Esports, The Expendables, and TYLOO are further below the table. Day 2 of the Winners Bracket commences shortly on 14th August and will decide which teams make it to the Grand Finals and which of them will have to fight for a second chance in the Losers Bracket.

Winners Bracket Match 1 Recap (Erangel)
Faze Clan brought a surprise in the first match with a decisive 20-point Chicken Dinner, while there were other surprises like group stage winners Cerebrus and TYLOO going out 15th and 16th. Daytrade Gaming and The Expendables made up the rest of the top 3 with 8 and 13 points respectively.
Winners Bracket Match 2 Recap (Erangel)
Match 2 saw TYLOO get a familiar 17-point win recovering from their 16th-place finish in the first match. Theerathon Five saw their first top 3 finish of the Winners Bracket with an 11-point second-place finish. Question Mark finished third with 6 points.
Winners Bracket Match 3 Recap (Taego)
Quickly after their top 3 finish in Match 2 Theerathon Five used the momentum and clinched a 21-point Chicken Dinner in Match 3 placing them firmly in the top 3. Luminosity and Petrichor Road also made their first appearance in the top 3 with 13 and 11-point finishes.
Winners Bracket Match 4 Recap (Miramar)
Fan favorites Soniqs come into the first match of Miramar to claim a sizeable 22-point chicken dinner and skyrocketed to the top 3 of Day 1. Another fan-favorite team GenG also made their first top 3 appearance with a third-place finish with 12 points. Dplus, who are currently at the bottom of the table after Day 1 finished second with 8 points.
Winners Bracket Match 5 Recap (Miramar)
17 Gaming also clinched a 22-point Chicken Dinner in Match 5 also firmly placing themselves in the top 3 (and eventually ending day 1 in first place) Luminosity and Danawa e-sports finished second and third with 11 and 9 points respectively.
Winners Bracket Match 6 Recap (Miramar)
Gen.G finish Day 1 with a strong 19-point chicken dinner placing them 4th on the table. Danawa e-sports find another top 3 finish with a surprising 15-point finish placing them 10th on the table. Daytrade Gaming finished third with only one kill point earning them 6 points and 14th place on the table after Day 1.
Teams like TYLOO and NAVI, who dominated the group stage currently face elimination as part of the bottom 8 at the end of Day 1. They will need to bring out multiple top 3 finishes and a win or two if they want to end top 8 to qualify for Grand Finals and avoid the Losers Bracket.
