Highlights
The Group Stage of the Gamers8 PUBG Global Series 2023 is underway with Day 1 and 2 already having concluded. And in a somewhat of a surprise twist, TYLOO and The Expendables have emerged at the top.
Fan favorites like Twisted Minds, Faze, Soniqs, and Gen.G are part of the middle pack and will face potential elimination into the Losers Bracket at the end of Day 3 if the bottom 8 teams show an improvement.
With the last day being Group A vs Group C, the teams currently in the top 5 will not be participating and will have to hope their efforts in days 1 and 2 put them through to the winner's bracket.

The Group Stage of the Gamers8 PUBG Global Series 2023 is underway with Day 1 and 2 already having concluded. And in a somewhat of a surprise twist, TYLOO and The Expendables have emerged at the top at the end of days 1 and 2 with 116 and 110 points respectively. Na’vi are hot on their heels with 99 points and along with Petrichor Road and Dplus make up the top 5 of the group stage. 

Fan favorites like Twisted Minds, Faze, Soniqs, and Gen.G are part of the middle pack and will face potential elimination into the Losers Bracket at the end of Day 3 if the bottom 8 teams show an improvement.

Gamers8 PGS 2023 Group Stage Day 1 Summary

Match 1: Group A vs Group B, Map - Miramar

TYLOO started strong with a chicken dinner in the first match of the Group Stage and a 17-point victory. Faze and NAVI made up the rest of the top 3 with 9 and 6 points respectively.

Match 2: Group A vs Group B, Map - Miramar

17 Gaming clinch the second match of Miramar with a 20-point Chicken Dinner. NAVI and T5 also made the top 3 with 9 and 10 points respectively.

Match 3: Group A vs Group B, Map - Taego

TYLOO once again emerged victorious in the third match and was the only one played in Taego on the first day. With a 21-point chicken dinner, their lead was significant after this victory. NAVI once again made second place with 14 points with Sarvem Esports making third place with 11 points.

Match 4: Group A vs Group B, Map - Erangel

Cerebrus Esports, who hadn’t even made the top 10 in the first three matches came into the first match of Erangel and immediately got the chicken dinner with an incredible 22 point win. NAVI once again came second place with 9 points and Game PT took third place with 9 points.

Match 5: Group A vs Group B, Map - Erangel

The Expendables got their first win in match 5 after three 16th-place finishes in the prior maps. With a 24-point chicken dinner, however, they quickly made it to the higher ranks of the leaderboard. Petrichor Road and Dplus made second and third place with 11 and 9 points respectively.

Match 6: Group A vs Group B, Map - Erangel

Cerebrus Esports finish day 1 with an incredible 26-point win on Erangel making it the highest point win of the day. Team Falcons make their first appearance in the top 3 with a 13-point second place and NAVI once again made it to third place with 10 points.

Gamers8 PGS 2023 Group Stage Day 2 Summary (Group B vs Group C)

TYLOO and NAVI maintained their consistency on Day 2 with TYLOO bagging two more chicken dinners in Erangel with 22 and 19-point chicken dinners while NAVI made the top 5 in four matches with one of them being an incredible 12-kill second-place finish for 18 points. Fan favorites GenG and Soniqs also secured wins for themselves to avoid being in the bottom 5. 

With the last day being Group A vs Group C, the teams currently in the top 5 will not be participating and will have to hope their efforts in days 1 and 2 put them through to the winner's bracket. While teams like Gen.G, Soniqs, Cerberus Esports, and 4AM while have the opportunity to replace the top 5 teams and fight for the number 1 spot.
