What Is Gamers8 Club Awards 2023?

In June 2023, the Saudi Esports Federation launched Gamers8 Club Awards, a fund to reward esports organizations competing at its Gamers8 2023. Via this fund, the Federation will distribute a total of $5 Million USD in prize money to esports organizations that secure good placements across different esports titles at the festival.

Notably, the Gamers8 Club Awards 2023 are in addition to the $45 Million prize pool for Gamers8. The festival consists of competitions in CS: GO, Dota 2, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, StarCraft 2, Fortnite, and Tekken 7. The organizers called it "an unprecedented and unique initiative to support the world's most dedicated and successful esports organizations."

For this award, Gamers8 will be using a points system to award clubs participating in multiple Gamers8 tournaments.

To count for the Gamers8 Club Awards, organizations competing at Gamers8 2023 must participate in at least two competitions at the festival. While the first-placed organization will receive $1.5 Million USD and 50 points, the 2nd-placed organization will take home $1.1 Million USD and 35 points, scaling all the way down to 8th place.

The Gamers8 Club Awards will reward the eight most accomplished clubs that accumulated the most points across all tournaments hosted during the festival. “The rules are simple: place high in multiple games, climb the ladder, and claim the title of the best esports club in the world,” said the Saudi Esports Federation.

Notably, the Club Award international standings are updated live every day so that fans can follow their favorite clubs’ journey to the top.

Gamers8 2023 kicked off on 6th July and will come to a close on 31st August. The event this year is called ‘The Land of Heroes’ and is featuring a total of 13 esports tournaments.
