Jankos names Top 5 junglers at Worlds 2022

G2 Esports jungler Jankos was answering viewer questions live on stream. One of the questions asked him to rate the European junglers at Worlds 2022 and asked how they would stack up against the best players from the East. The viewer also asked for Jankos’ take on the top 5 junglers at the tournament. Notably, the Chinese and the Korean junglers always turn it up a notch in international tournaments and are known for excelling on mechanical champions.

Jankos said, “It is very hard to rate European players above their Eastern counterparts. Because technically, the Eastern counterparts normally perform better and their competition is high.

Following this, Jankos named five junglers who he thinks are the best in the business. He said, “In no particular order, I would probably give the top five to Tian, Kanavi, Canyon, Oner, and Peanut.” He also added that Royal Never Give Up (RNG) Yan "Wei" Yang-Wei and EDward Gaming Zhao "Jiejie" Li-Jie were also extremely good.

The junglers that Jankos named are in the following teams:

  • Gao "Tian" Tian-Liang - Top Esports (TES) - China

  • Seo "Kanavi" Jin-hyeok - JD Gaming (JDG) - China

  • Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu - Damwon Kia (DK) - Korea

  • Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun - T1 - Korea

  • Han "Peanut" Wang-ho - Gen.G - Korea

From the above-mentioned junglers, we will get to see RNG’s Wei first since the team is in Play-in. If Jankos’ ratings are correct, Wei should be one of the best junglers in the opening stage of the tournament. The rest of the players mentioned by Jankos are all playing in the main event of Worlds 2022: the Group Stage.

Fans will have to wait till the start of the Group Stage on 7th October to see how accurate Jankos’ jungler rating is. Meanwhile, stay updated with the tournament by heading on to  Worlds 2022 Play-in: Teams, Groups, Schedule & More.
