The upcoming crossover event will kick off later in March but Garena has not revealed any details just yet.
What to expect from Garena Free Fire’s collaboration with BTS
Once the Creed of Fire (Assassin’s Creed crossover) event comes to a close, a collaboration with BTS is coming soon. Garena revealed in an Instagram post that the collaboration event is coming in March. The publisher revealed, “Free Fire can look forward to a series of collaboration events and activities in the weeks to follow, both in the game and beyond.”
That is all Garena revealed for now and we can expect more details about the upcoming crossover event soon. Free Fire’s limited-time events usually feature limited-time cosmetics and game modes that anyone can enjoy. Fans will be excited to see what Garena has planned for the upcoming crossover event.
Who is BTS?
BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a South Korean band that was formed back in 2010. The group made its debut under Big Hit Entertainment. The group of seven originally started as a hip hop group but their musical style has evolved over the years to include other genres. The lyrics of most BTS tracks focus on mental health, coming of age, individualism, social commentary, and other topics.
Garena Free Fire is not the first game to collaborate with BTS. Nexon’s multiplayer online game MapleStory collaborated with BTS back in 2020. The band is extremely popular and its other crossover events have been wildly successful with McDonald’s chains running out of stock due to the craze for the “BTS meal.”
In Indonesia, stores were forced to close early due to the excessive orders that were being placed once a BTS collaboration meal went live at the fast-food chain. Considering how popular the band is, the upcoming Free Fire X BTS event just might become Garena’s biggest crossover yet.
