Epic Games shared details for the upcoming Fortnite x Naruto Shippuden Raise Your Flag Invitational content creator tournament.
As many as 96 content creators from 12 regions around the world will be participating.
The Japan-themed and Naruto-themed maps used for the event will become available for play in Fortnite Discover after being featured in the tournament.

Epic Games dropped the details for the upcoming Fortnite x Naruto Shippuden Raise Your Flag Invitational content creator tournament on its website. For the second time, the company announced a Naruto collaboration, adding another quartet of characters from the anime to the game on 23rd June. Itachi Uchiha, Gaara, Orochimaru, and Hinata Hyuga can be spotted in Fortnite’s item shop.

Apart from the introduction of these new skins in the game, Epic Games also introduced a tournament for Fortnite content creators through Fortnite x Naruto Shippuden: Raise Your Flag Invitational.

According to the official announcement, the event will kick off on 24th June (today) and the Grand Finals will take place on 1st July.

Raise Your Flag Invitational: Format

The Fortnite x Naruto Shippuden Raise Your Flag Invitational will feature four Japan-themed maps, built by Vysena studios and these maps will serve as an arena where duos of content creators, grouped by regions, will compete. Four duos will compete with others in their regional qualifiers and following this one duo per region will be chosen for a chance to be a part of the final event on 1st July taking place on four Naruto-themed maps.

According to Epic Games, the maps used for the event will become available for play in Fortnite Discover after being featured in the tournament. It further said that their island codes will be revealed later. Additionally, the island codes of the Qualifier maps will become public on 25th June and the codes of the Grand Finals maps will be made available on 2nd July.


How to watch

Epic Games did not reveal any information on how fans can tune into the action and watch the Raise Your Flag Invitational live. However, Epic Games usually broadcasts its events on the official Fortnite handles on Twitch and YouTube. So fans can expect the event to be live on these sites.
