Snip3down put to rest all Halo retirement rumors.

In May, FaZe Clan’s Halo Infinite player, originally an Apex Legends pro, Eric “Snip3down” Wrona teased a possible return to pro Apex Legends after expressing unhappiness with Halo Infinite and the game’s direction. On one of his recent streams on Twitch, Snip3down confirmed that he was no longer playing with the FaZe Halo team. He later played the Apex Legends Knights 10K Tournament with Mac “Albralelie” Beckwith and SlurpeeG. Additionally, the pro player had some strong comments to share about the mentality of his Halo teammates and how it felt for him to show up to work every day in that environment.

FaZe Snip3down comments about his Halo Infinite experience

Announcing that he is no longer playing for FaZe Clan in the Halo Infinite team, Snip3down said, “No, I am no longer playing with the FaZe Halo guys.” While playing Apex Legends with Albralelie and SlurpeeG on stream, Snip3down also stated, “It’s literally the worst experience I’ve ever had on a team ever. Weakest mental I’ve ever seen in my life. Just straight weak.” Snip3down also claimed that none of them wanted to team up and play with him nor did they play well. “So, just not a good team environment,” he said, adding, “It was just not fun. I just showed up every day trying my ass off and there was just people giving up before it all started.”

Snip3down addresses Halo retirement rumors

After learning that Snip3down was no longer a part of the FaZe Halo roster, rumors began circulating on social media that Snip3down has retired from professional Halo. As a result, the pro player had to address the rumors and put them to rest. On 28th August, he wrote on Twitter, “Idk where this info is coming from saying I’m retiring from Halo, but I’ll let you know when that day comes, you won’t hear it from someone else other than me.

It is still unclear if Snip3down is officially returning to the Apex Legends pro scene even though the player has been playing and streaming Apex Legends regularly.

Notably, at the end of 2021, the veteran FPS pro player quit professional Apex to return to his original title, Halo, on FaZe Clan’s Halo Infinite roster. As an Apex pro, he was on Team SoloMid (TSM FTX) and played alongside Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen and Jordan “Reps” Wolfe.

Now, after Snip3down’s announcement, the FaZe Halo roster consists of:

  • Michael “Falcated” Garcia

  • Jonathan “Renegade” Willette

  • Tyler “Spartan” Ganza
