Everything New Coming to Overwatch 2 Season 2: New Hero, New Battle Pass and More

Overwatch 2’s first season is coming to an end and Blizzard Entertainment has already started teasing content for Season 2. We can expect a new competitive season, a new battle pass, a new hero, events, and more. Ramattra is undoubtedly the highlight of the new season and the new hero will arrive as the newest Omnic in the Overwatch 2 roster.
Overwatch 2 Season Two New Hero
The new hero arriving in the second season of Overwatch 2 is Ramattra, who is an Omnic tank capable of switching forms similar to Bastion and Hammond. At the Overwatch League Grand Finals 2022 it was revealed that:
Ramattra has an Omnic form with a Staff capable of dealing “poke damage” as well as a barrier shield
In his Nemesis form, he becomes a much larger and tougher Omnic with the ability to punch enemies similar to Doomfist
His punch melee ability can pierce shields and deals tons of damage
His abilities and their cooldowns have not been detailed as the hero is still being readied for a Season Two launch. We will get more information about Ramattra in the coming weeks.
Overwatch 2 New Ranked Season
Once Season Two launches, your rank will be reset and you will need to do your placements once again. The game does not hard reset your ranked rating and you will be placed close to where you finish this season. Unlike some other games, your final rank at the end of the season is what matters and not the highest rank that you reach during a season.
Ranked rewards will be distributed once Season One ends. Players can earn badges, and competitive points to unlock golden weapons and sprays from ranked play. If you want to reach a certain rank this season, you still have a month until Season Two drops.
Overwatch 2 Season Two Battle Pass
A new battle pass is coming to Season Two and if you have not unlocked Kiriko yet, you should try to reach at least level 55 before the season ends. Ramattra will also be available to unlock for free via the battle pass next season. You will need to reach level 55 out of 80 to unlock Ramattra if you do not purchase the pass. If you do get it, Ramattra will be available to you upon purchase.
The skins and other cosmetics are yet to be revealed for Season Two so stay tuned for an official battle pass reveal in the coming weeks.
Overwatch 2 Season Two Release Date
The new Overwatch 2 season will arrive on 2nd December once Season One ends. The next season will last for around two months and is expected to end on 7th February. Players will receive their ranked rewards from Season One next month once Season Two arrives.
