DreamHack Hyderabad 2022 is all set take place from 4th to 6th November at the Hitex Exhibition Centre - Hall No. 1 and 3.
It will feature multiple events and activities like BYOD LAN, Cosplay, Pan Fest, KO Fight Night, Chess, and much more.
This is the third iteration of DreamHack India and the first to take place after a gap of three years.

DreamHack has finally returned to India after three years with DreamHack Hyderabad 2022, all set to take place in the city of pearls from 4th to 6th November at the Hitex Exhibition Centre - Hall No. 1 and 3.

The tournament was initially supposed to take place two years ago in Oct-Nov 2020 but was postponed to 2021 along with other DreamHack festivals. Unfortunately, the event could not be accommodated that year and was further pushed to take place in 2022.

Thankfully the tournament was finalized to take place in November and would be opening its gates to gamers from all over the country this weekend.

It is going to be an action-packed weekend at Dreamhack Hyderabad 2022 which offers something for all kinds of gamers. Here is everything you need to know about the annual esports and gaming festival to plan things out in advance!

There are going to be a lot of things to do at the event. Here is a quick rundown of all of them.

BYOD Arena

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is what sets DreamHack apart from other gaming events around the world, providing special ticket bearers the permission to bring their own gaming devices to the venue and set them up for the entire duration.

BYOD Timings - Opens: 4th Nov, 9:00 | Closes: 6th Nov, 20:00

There will be special BYOD LAN tournaments across various Mobile and PC titles with varying prize pools.

Streamer Zone

Interested streamers and content creators can livestream right from the venue to all their audience members, while also getting a chance to interact with other top personalities.

All those interested can 'Sign Up as Streamer' and fill the form to be granted permission for the same.

Pan Fest

All those who are fans of the mobile battle royale PUBG New State are in for a pleasant surprise as 10 matches will take place daily featuring a total prize pool of INR 5,00,000.

One of the longest running fighting tournament, KO Fight Night, returns with DreamHack Hyderabad 2022 featuring a total prize pool of INR 4,50,000 split across three different titles - Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Attendees will be able to meet some of India's biggest gaming and esports personalities, top creators, and popular influencers at the event. There will also be a dedicated picture and autograph sessions with Team 8Bit Creatives.

Those interested in competing for the crown of the best cosplayer can do so at the event by taking part in daily exhibitions and competing for a total prize pool of INR 1,50,000 - daily cosplay winners will recieve INR 50,000.

Just Dance Zone

Those with grooves and the moves can break a leg with friends and family at the Just Dance Arcade featuring a total prize pool of INR 15,000.

Retro Zone

This includes both table-top and retro games like Carrom, Pacman, UNO, Contra, and more. All ticket holders are eligible to play and participate in these games.

The tickets for the event are live and have been segregated into three different categories, so those interested in attending the esports festival can purchase them according to their own needs.

BYOD LAN Gamer - Festival Pass | INR 3,499

  • This is a three day pass which grants participation access for all activities taking place at the festival.

  • Additionally, you can also bring your own gaming device (Phone/Computer/Console) and participate in the BYOD Lan tournaments.

  • You will be provided with a dedicated space which includes a desk and a chair to house your gaming setup.

  • Doors for BYOD open on 4th Nov at 9:00 AM and seating is based on a first come, first serve basis.

Hardcore Gamer - Festival Pass | INR 1,599

This is a three day pass which grants participation access for all activities taking place at the festival which includes open tournaments, esports, cosplay, meet & greet, and more.

Day Pass - Friday/Saturday/Sunday | INR 699

This is a single day pass for Day 1/2/3 of the festival on 4th/5th/6th November. It grants participation access to all activities at the festival which includes all open tournaments, esports, cosplay, and more.

DreamHack India took place in 2018 and 2019 but its 2020 event in the country was canceled amidst the global pandemic, pushed to 2021, and has now finally taken place in 2022.

It will be interesting to see how the DreamHack Hyderabad 2022 turns out as it is taking place after a gap of three years and is supported by the government of Telangana.
