Doublelift is set to play for 100 Thieves.
The veteran LCS ADC will reportedly join former mid-laner Bjergsen to play for the top NA team.

Former TSM ADC Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng is set to return to pro play after announcing his retirement in November 2020. Reports indicate that Doublelift will be playing for 100 Thieves. As League is currently in preseason, teams are taking the opportunity to change up their rosters before the start of Spring Splits.

Doublelift to be reunited with Bjergsen

100 Thieves is looking to stack their roster for the next Split. The team is also set to acquire legendary NA mid-laner Søren ‘Bjergsen’ Bjerg. Can ‘Closer’ Çelik will continue on as jungler for 100 Thieves.

An eight-time LCS Champion, Doublelift has played for CLG, Team Liquid, and TSM. Doublelift has almost 10 years of pro play experience under his belt. After parting ways with TSM in 2018, he played for Team Liquid with former teammates Jake Kevin "Xmithie" Puchero and Eugene "Pobelter" Park. After the Spring Split in 2020, TL traded Doublelift to TSM for the 2020 Summer Split. After retiring from professional play in November 2020, he joined TSM as a streamer and content creator in March, 2021. He left TSM completely in November 2021 due to differences with owner Andy "Reginald" Dinh.

Doublelift will be joined by ex-teammate Bjergsen in what is shaping up to be one of the strongest rosters in 100 Thieves history. Whether or not the veteran ADC performs after his hiatus is still to be seen. Perhaps LCS fans will have the opportunity to live out TSM’s glory days.

While 100 Thieves is gaining talent, the longtime general manager of the League team, Chris “PapaSmithy” Smith is stepping away from the team after three seasons with the organization. The League of Legends free agency period will officially begin when players’ contracts begin to expire globally on 21st November. The only 100 Thieves player set to enter unrestricted free agency is top laner Ssumday, who has been with the organization since it was enveloped into the LCS as a franchised team back in 2018.
