Call of Duty Warzone is an online multiplayer Battle Royale game and can be played on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Here’s everything you need to know about PlayStation Plus and Call of Duty Warzone.

Most PlayStation games require a subscription to PlayStation Plus to access the multiplayer features of different games, but free-to-play games are usually an exception. The biggest advantage with Call of Duty Warzone is that it is free-to-play and this is one of the major reasons why the game is such a huge hit with Battle Royale players. The one possible barrier to playing Warzone could be its size and you might need to add an extra SSD to download Call of Duty Warzone. This is also an exciting time to play the game since it has gotten an array of new content ranging from new weapons, to skins, and even a new map called Fortune’s Keep.

Is Call of Duty Warzone Free-to-Play on PlayStation?

The looming question is whether you need PlayStation Plus to play Call of Duty Warzone and the answer is a simple no. Just like other free-to-play multiplayer games on the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Plus is not a necessity to access the multiplayer features of Call of Duty Warzone. Players can enjoy the game thoroughly without shelling extra bucks on the subscription.

Warzone allows online multiplayer combat among 150 players, although some limited-time game modes support up to 200 players. It features both cross-platform play and cross-platform progression among other Call of Duty titles. The game kicked off Season 4 on 22nd June with the theme called Mercenaries of Fortune and the community was introduced to the new Fortune’s Keep, a map similar in size and layout to Rebirth Island.

However, Raven Software revealed that Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 would feature a map rotation, meaning that Rebirth Island, Fortune’s Keep, and Caldera, would be included in the game.

But if you do own a PlayStation Plus subscription and you are an avid Warzone player, your money spent is not wasted. Sony and Activision Blizzard still have a partnership which means that there are occasional extra, unique cosmetics, and in-game collectibles for players to get their hands on if they do own a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Activision gives away free skins every month to players who are subscribed to PlayStation Plus which includes numerous Legendary operator skins. The offers tend to change often so if you are continuing your subscription it would be a good call to check out the official page to see the PlayStation Plus exclusive items for Call of Duty Warzone.
