Call of Duty [CoD]: Black Ops Cold War recently received a surprise update on 4th March. Treyarch surprised players around the globe with its March update, adding Vargo 52 as a new gun in the game. Black Ops Cold War will not be receiving any new seasons in the future but it looks like Treyarch is not finished just yet. This new assault rifle called Vargo 52 is also now available in Warzone.
Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 2 is well underway and the titles saw the addition of new guns like the KG M40 Assault Rifle and Whitley Light Machine Gun (LMG). As a treat for players, the Vargo 52 weapon is now available to be unlocked at no additional cost in both Cold War and Warzone.
Activision wrote in a blogpost, “The Vargo 52 is one mean weapon, and it’s particularly effective where versatile equipment reigns – and in Zombies, it can be one of the most devastating assault rifles in the game with the right suite of attachments. Here’s its in-game description: Full-auto assault rifle. Good damage at mid-range with a fast fire rate. Improved muzzle velocity and reliable handling for steady firing control.”
Unlocking Vargo 52 in Cold War & Warzone
Players can unlock Vargo 52 in two ways. In multiplayer, players need to deal a total of 1,000 damage with Assault Rifles in 15 different completed matches. This method is very time-consuming since players need to get through a long multiplayer session to get it done.
In the case of Call of Duty Cold War, players can opt to play the 15 games and complete the damage-dealing task or they could choose the other method in Zombies. This is comparatively less complex. To unlock Vargo 52 in Zombies, players need to get 750 kills with an Assault Rifle that is at Pack-A-Punch Tier 3.
Players must remember that the objective must be completed in a game and quitting early will cause the players to lose progress.
Vargo 52 can also be unlocked through a store bundle called the “Ferrofliud Weapon Blueprint”, which is a part of the Tracer Pack: Ferro Fury Reactive Mastercraft Bundle that is already live in the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone in-game stores.
Activision wrote, “You’ll still need to complete the in-game challenge to unlock the base version of the weapon, and you can use the Blueprint to help get you there. Get ready to drop into Black Ops Cold War and Warzone with this brand-new assault rifle, starting tomorrow,” on its 3rd March blogpost.
A Dot Esports report gives players an insight into Vargo 52’s best loadout in CoD Warzone. According to that, the following is the ideal loadout:
Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
Barrel: 18.6″ Task Force
Optic: Axial Arms 3x
Magazine: 45 Rnd Speed Mag
Rear Grip: Spetsnaz Field Grip
Vargo 52 should be a powerful choice in CoD Warzone with its low-recoil rate and its steady firing control.
