Highlights
Chemical warfare is the theme of Call of Duty Warzone Season 2.
Nebula V is a chemical weapon developed by the Nazis and is the same poisonous gas that closes in on players in the battle royale.
Caldera now has Nebula V ammunition and bombs and players can counter these with the Portable Decontamination Stations.

Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 2 is in full swing and the developers have added new events, points of interest (POIs), and items to fit the theme of chemical warfare this season. Many Warzone bunkers and Chemical Research Labs were already found across the Caldera map. In addition to the roaming armored transport trucks and bomber planes that attack players, Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Season 2 will also feature a new game mechanic called Nebula V. This is the weaponized version of Call of Duty’s signature poisonous gas.

Nebula V is meant for larger-scale armaments but can be used for small-arms ammunition and bombs, both found in extremely small quantities around Caldera."

The new Nebula V gas is a chemical weapon developed by the Nazis as seen in the trailer for Warzone Season 2. It is the same gas that we know from Warzone, the one that closes in the battle royale when the circle shrinks to restrict the zone. Those stuck in the gas shroud lose health.

Nebula V Ammo

Nebula V ammunition is a field upgrade in Call of Duty Warzone Season 2. Using this ammo will allow one’s Operator to load in gas bullets. It deals the same amount of damage as regular bullets but this noxious ammunition causes enemy players to leak a shroud of Nebula V gas when they are downed or killed by the Nebula V bullets.

With this in play, reviving a fallen teammate has become even more difficult. Those close to the downed player will also be exposed to the gas and will experience the effects of Nebula V including coughing, blurred vision, and damage.

Nebula V Ammo takes up only a single clip of ammunition, but for some weapons, that may be enough to turn the tide of a team fight, especially within interior spaces,” read an official blogpost.

While using the Nebula Rounds Field Upgrade, one’s Operator will automatically load in a fresh magazine made of only Nebula V bullets, which will also turn the heads-up display (HUD) ammo counter green.

Nebula V Bombs

Poisonous Nebula V bombs
One of the rarest items in Warzone is the Nebula V Bomb, a locked briefcase full of deadly gas with an explosive charge. Once activated and set down in front of an Operator, it will detonate after a fixed countdown and cannot be disarmed or destroyed. Its initial explosion deals a high amount of damage in a small radius before the gas spreads outward, where it will hurt any Operator without a Gas Mask. The gas lingers for two minutes before ultimately dispersing or feeding into the oncoming Circle Collapse."

Nebula V Bombs are amongst the rarest items in Call of Duty Warzone Season 2. The bombs can be activated and they will explode after a short countdown. The explosion causes damage in a small area and also emits Nebula V gas. It stays in the vicinity for two minutes, damaging those who do not wear a gas mask. Using this bomb in enclosed spaces or spots of action can make certain areas of the map inaccessible and drastically change the course of combat.

Portable Decontamination Stations

Players can also get their hands on the counter for Nebula V gas, which is the field equipment called Portable Decontamination Stations (PDS). This device when deployed can filter the poisonous gas within a specific range and then protect those who get inside its range from the closing circle or Nebula V weaponry.

The PDS are portable and can be set up anywhere needed on the map but the catch is that once a PDS is deployed it will appear on the Tac Map for all players to locate. It can also be destroyed by grenades or shelling.

Players can get their hands on the stashes of this chemical ammunition from the Chemical Research Labs and scavenge the new Chemical Factory area for more Nebula V equipment.
