Sources report that Bjergsen is looking at offers from both LEC and LCS teams for the future.
This comes only a year after the star mid laner joined Team Liquid's super team.

Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, the iconic LCS midlaner is set to leave Team Liquid after only a year since his departure from TSM. Multiple sources including former Upcomer reporter Brieuc Seeger (LEC Wooloo) and Travis Gafford confirmed that Bjergsen is reportedly entertaining offers from other teams. Both Seeger and Gafford reported that the star midlaner is open to offers from both LCS (League of Legends Championship Series) and LEC (League of Legends European Championship) teams.

According to Gafford, Team Liquid had declined to comment on the matter.

Bjergsen's departure will leave a void in the LCS

After his return to pro play with Team Liquid, LCS fans were excited to see him playing with one of the most stacked teams in the League which included top LEC ADC (Attack Damage Carry) Steven "Hans sama" Lin and Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau. Unfortunately, Team Liquid missed making Worlds this year by a small margin, losing to Evil Geniuses 2-3. While a fourth-place finish isn’t bad, not making it to Worlds was a huge blow for Team Liquid. The team has already gone through some roster changes with the departure of Hans sama.

While Bjergsen got his start in 2012 in Europe, he has built quite a legacy in the LCS during his tenure at TSM. During his nearly eight-year term at TSM, he displayed phenomenal performances, setting the standard for LCS mid laners with strats like the TSM blue buff invade. He has a number of accolades to his name including multiple LCS championships, MVP titles, and the title of most career kills in LCS history. TSM’s glory days rest firmly on both his and Doublelift’s shoulders. Bjergsen is cited by a long line of players as someone who inspired them to be better players. While Bjergsen’s contract with Team Liquid is to continue till 21st November 2023, he may look to return to the LEC for a fresh start after building a legacy in the LCS.
